La Bastide de Correns - Charming Family Retreat

La Bastide de Correns is a spacious Provencal Villa, located on 3 acres in a protected natural area. You will enjoy our natural oaks and gardens, with cedars, junipers, fig trees, apple trees and olive trees. Rosemary, thyme and lavender grow wild on our land.

The property is dedicated to nature and relaxation, whether you are lounging by the pool or relaxing on one of your private terraces, you will enjoy views of the countryside and the mountains as far as the eye can see.

You will appreciate our large swimming pool 12x5m and a generous pool area with sun loungers, parasols and seating in the sun and shade.

Part of La Bastide is our residence which we enjoy all year round. The part we rent is completely independent and includes:
- Le Bessillon: house with a living room, dining room, kitchen, 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and 2 terraces.
- Suite Libellule: living room, double bedroom, bathroom and terrace
- Family Suite Esparron: 1 queen bed, 2 single beds, bathroom and terrace

The house and the 2 suites will be at your exclusive disposal (no other tenants during your stay) and each have their own private entrance and parking. Thanks to the modular layout of the house and its suites, you can comfortably accommodate your family and friends, up to 10 people.
This is a non-smoking property.
Loud parties are not allowed.
The Pool is only open and heated from April to September.
Check-in at 4pm.
Check-out at 10am.

September in Provence

Beautiful property in a beautiful location to attend a beautiful wedding at Chateau Robernier. Fantastic hosts, so attentive in helping with arranging taxis ahead of time for the wedding. At hand if needed, but rarely seen. Highly recommend...just...beautiful!!

Relaxed vacation

We enjoyed very much the beautiful house with a lot of room for everyone and a perfect production level kitchen and 2 big terraces for breakfast and Dinner by enjoying a brilliant view. The Pool was perfect for swimming and refreshing with a very good size. Pat and Aileen were perfect host and reason enough to come back to this beautiful place in the provence

Magnifique !

Nous avons séjourné une semaine à La Bastide de Correns en famille. La location est irréprochable, tout est clairement expliqué, la villa est très équipée et joliment décorée. Les propriétaires vivent à proximité dans une autre partie de la Bastide. Ils sont chaleureux, discrets et redoutablement efficaces à la moindre question. Les plus de la location sont indéniablement la vue de la terrasse, la piscine géante et l espace des lieux. Un lieu qui permet une déconnexion totale et un retour vers les valeurs du terroir ( excellent rosé dans les parages). La bastide est un peu écartée du village mais accessible à pied (10/15 minutes de marche).

Un séjour idyllique

Des hôtes attentionnés, une maison très confortable et bien équipée dans cadre de rêve, une très belle piscine où on peut nager. Les environs de Correns offrent beaucoup de possibilités de balades à pieds, à vélo , à cheval ou en canoë ... au coeur de la Provence verte.

Wir waren im September für eine Woche bei Aileen und Pat. Wie beschrieben wohnen sie zwar nebenan, sind aber völlig zurückhaltend. Der Pool wird täglich gesäubert. Wir waren rundum zufrieden.

An amazing week in an amazing property.

Thanks very much to Aileen and Pat for a fabulous week - we wished we could have stayed longer. This is a fantastic property. The accommodation was perfect for a family of five (3 teenagers) plus grandparents. The views from the balconies (both sunny at different times of the day), over the olive groves, were amazing and the large pool was a highlight. The villa is situated in a lovely peaceful location with plenty to do close by. We particularly enjoyed kayaking through the Vallon Sourn, climbing at the châteauvert crag and a meal out at the Auberge in Correns. Aileen and Pat (and Max the dog!) were extremely welcoming and really helpful throughout our stay. Thanks again.

Beautiful property away from it all

We enjoyed a very hot week staying at Aileen and Pat's property. The pool was a welcoming sight after a long day of traveling through Provence. The house is in a beautiful peaceful setting with a wonderful terrace to enjoy both in the morning and evening. The kitchen was well equipped and had everything you could need. I cooked every night which was wonderful. The two bedrooms and two bathrooms on the second floor were very spacious and comfortable. We could not ask for better hosts. They were discreet but there if we needed anything. Thank you Aileen and Pat for sharing your home. Best regards, Kim and Chris

Wonderful!

My husband and I spent 2 months at La Bastide de Correns and we had a fabulous time. The gite is super comfortable and is extremely well equipped. We loved dining on the terrace with it's superb views. The location is ideal for exploring the Provence, which we did on foot and by car. The village has a bar, restaurant ( the food is delicious)and a couple of shops, all this a 10 minute walk away. There is so much to do and explore and the weather was fantastic. Pat and Aileen are great hosts, always available and very helpful.

First Class

First class! Left on Aug 9, 2017 for a stay in Jul 2017 This is truly a fantastic location in which to holiday. On our family holiday of 9 adults and 3 children, we found the house very well equipped, spacious and finished to a very high standard. The pool area is perfect for fun, relaxing and soaking up the sun. The terrace and BBQ area are ideal for lazy evenings enjoying the spectacular scenery. Pat and Aileen are excellent hosts, they are kind, generous and welcoming. This is 'paradise in Provence '

Amazing villa, brilliant facilities

I would highly recommend this property to everyone as the villa is amazing with a beautiful swimming pool. The villa is equipped with brilliant facilities with several out door areas to eat and relax with family and friends. Pat and Aileen were offered wonderful customer service and nothing is no trouble. A book with local restaurants and taxis is offered and villa is located is lovely village close to local towns. The villa is extremely clean and luxurious.The villa is the best that I have stayed in and it is worthy of a 5* rating.

Truly magnificent!

Dympna C A truly magnificent, comfortable, spacious well equipped villa which also provided privacy for each group. Left on Aug 10, 2017 for a stay in Jul 2017 The villa itself has a stunning view and a wonderful pool as well as all other luxuries. The small town of Correns offers charm and peace and the restaurants we visited were excellent. In nearby Cotignac there is a market not to miss on Tuesdays-a true 'French' experience!

Wonderful 2 month sabbatical in Correns

We had a wonderful two months in this lovely gite and it has been so comfortable and really well equipped - a proper home from home. Pat & Aileen have been wonderful hosts, allowing us to enjoy their lovely property and the pool as if it was our own, giving us privacy to relax and enjoy the peacefulness, but always there when we needed them to help or offer information. Our two spaniels were also made most welcome and we have had a ball. We love this beautiful slice of the Var/Provence and the little village of Correns - we are already booked in for next year.

Fabulous holiday

We stayed in the 3 bedroom accommodation which is spacious and enjoys added facilities. We found it clean, bright and airy and furnished to a very high standard. The beds were extremely comfortable. The accommodation has a large terrace which enjoyed wonderful views and breath taking sunsets. We had a fabulous holiday soaking up the peace and tranquility of this part of Provence.

Wonderful house, so peaceful & beautiful

This is by far the most comfortable and well thought out vacation rental that we have stayed at in France. The house is beautifully decorated and the beds are top notch, nice white fluffy towels and sparkling clean. The big terrace has a super outdoor sofa and lovely lighting, which is so romantic and the views are fab - we sat out every night until late. The pool is nice and big and it was heated too so great for early morning swimming. Our hosts were the best, kind, considerate and very helpful. They were very friendly but didn't intrude at all, but we felt we could pop around to their house anytime we had a question - we'd definitely come back again.

Simply stunning

We had a fabulous fortnight at this fantastic gite in a wonderfully peaceful part of Provence - it really was incredibly tough to leave! Aileen and Pat are lovely hosts, incredibly welcoming yet entirely discreet too. The gite's best features are its terraces (it was an absolute joy to breakfast on the east-facing terrace and dine on the west-facing terrace, both of which gave stunning views out on to mountains, woodlands and vineyards) and the huge heated pool, perfect for relaxing lazy days. That said, the interior of the gite is also delightful - very comfortable and all furnished in such a way as to make you feel at home straightaway, and very well appointed with everything you need. The gite is in a gloriously quiet location and is walking distance from the village, which has all the amenities that you need (the restaurant at the auberge is very good) - yet it is only a short drive from some beautiful Haut Var villages and you can also be at the coast in around an hour to enjoy the delights of the Cote d'Azur. All in all, we highly recommend this property (and would love to turn back the clock to day 1 of our holiday there!). Thanks again Aileen and Pat for all the hospitality - hope to see you again in the not too distant future!

Séjour très agréable dans cette magnifique bastide

Nous avons passé une semaine très agréable dans la Bastide de Correns. Eileen et Pat sont des hotes charmants et prévenants. Nous avons profité des deux terrasses avec leur exposition différente. La maison est bien équipée. Nous avons apprécié la climatisation dans le salon et les ventilateurs dans les chambres. Même si la piscine se trouve du côté de l'habitation des hôtes, ces derniers sont très discrets et nous avons pu profiter largement de celle-ci. Merci à Eileen de Pat de leur hospitalité.

Absolute aanrader !

Het huis en zijn omgeving zijn in werkelijkheid nog mooier dan op de foto's. Het huis ligt niet ver van het dorpje, maar wel redelijk hoog, dus een auto is wel noodzakelijk. Alles wat je nodig hebt is voorzien, tot in de kleinste details. Pat en Aileen zijn bijzonder vriendelijke en aangename mensen die alles doen om het je naar je zin te maken. Wij hebben een fantastische vakantie gehad en raden iedereen die van rust houdt aan om zeker hier te boeken ! Van ons krijgt het 6 sterren ! Jacky, Arlet, Ivo en Sonja

A real gem in beautiful Provence

La Bastide de Correns is a real gem that won't let you down. We spent a wonderful week here with our two girls aged 11 and 14, and we all enjoyed both the house and the beautiful, peaceful surroundings very much. The house itself is clean, spacious and cozy at the same time both indoors and outdoors, and we felt at home immediately. It is extremely well-equipped, not least the kitchen, making home cooking a real pleasure. We enjoyed a week with a mix of relaxing at the house/the pool and driving to different Provence attractions and found that Correns is perfectly situated for this. Add to all this the hospitality of our hosts, Aileen and Pat, and their down-to-earth way of welcoming us to their property, and we can honestly say that this is our favourite holiday spot of all that we have visited. This is a place that we would love to revisit. Lars & Didde-Marie, Denmark.

A beautiful little villa in the hills, with two gorgeous terraces & a great pool. A perfect retreat. Our hosts were incredibly welcoming. We had everything we needed for a week’s stay. We would definitely go back. A good base to explore the area.

Beautiful property! Stunning views!

We spent a fabulous week in April at La Bastide de Correns. The property itself is beautifully furnished and extremely comfortable. It was very clean and extremely spacious. The views from the terrace are magnificent and after many busy days sightseeing it was the perfect spot to wind down with a nice glass of wine. Aileen and Pat are great hosts and were on hand to offer plenty of local tips. We loved our time there and would absolutely recommend it to friends and family in the future. We are already planning our next visit!!

Jewel in the heart of la Provence Verte

What a beautiful spot, even the middle of a cool March for the south of France. Lovely accommodations; the best outfitted VRBO we have ever stayed in, i.e. paper towel, dish soap, cling wrap, laundry soap, blow dryer, etc. Yes, some places don't provide these things, so we spend 10 euros and leave the rest for the next guests. But our hostess, Aileen has thought of everything. But the accommodations are the true star here. Comfy bed and luxury bedding, spacious bathroom, excellent kitchen facility (we eat in most nights), sofa and big screen TV, balcony overlooking the little and grand Besillon mountains, easy access to Cotignac and Baudeun, recommendations from our hosts. Hope to return one day.
