Llandovery is situated approx 4½ miles away on the edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park, whilst just 8 miles away is Myddfai, famous for its physicians. The area is full of beautiful walks and bridleways, with an RSPB nature reserve near Llyn Brianne Reservoir and the beautiful forests of Cwm Rhaeadr and Crychan are just a short distance away. The county of Carmarthenshire, known as ‘The Garden of Wales’ has become a big draw for walkers, cyclists, anglers and lovers of the outdoors and is the largest county in southern Wales, stretching from Carmarthen Bay in the south to the western Brecon Beacons and Cambrian Mountains in the north. It offers rich landscapes, gardens, ancient castles, wildlife and sandy beaches as well as market towns brimming with local produce, chic shopping, eateries and plenty of history. Llandeilo is one such town, less than 30-minute drive away and is full of boutique shops, cafés and restaurants.
