Excellent stay near beach

We had great stay at Brightside and enjoyed our time walking to and from the beach. My favorite area on OBX is northern part. Donna was great to work with and very responsive.

Perfect for our family!

From our initial contact, to every question we had beforehand and while there, Donna was immediate with her responses and such a huge help! The property was clean, bright and cheery, equipped with anything and everything you could possibly need and just perfect for our vacation. We will stay here again!

BRIGHTSIDE in OBX

Lovely updated home in Corolla! Very clean upon check-in. Nicely equipped with all the comforts of home. A bit of a walk to the beach, but not an issue at all assuming you have no mobility issues. Super-convenient to the grocery and shops just north of the community. We even walked up to the local produce stand one morning! Highly recommend for a perfect beach vacation!

Great vacation!

We absolutely enjoyed our stay at Brightside. My family loved the spa and the amenities of the property. The house was clean and the walk to the beach was easy to manage. The owners were helpful and nice about any questions or concerns we had. They even sent pictures of the beach access for us because our daughter had recently had surgery on her knee and had limited mobility. We had an amazing time!!

Wonderful stay at Brightside!

We just completed a wonderful week at the OBX staying in Brightside. The perfect base for enjoying the beach (10 minute walk), shops, restaurants or just relaxing on the deck. Perfect home for a getaway. Donna was fantastic with regular communication and kept us posted on dates and info. We’ll definitely be back for our next OBX vacation.

Perfect space for our family!

We really enjoyed our stay at this property and hopefully will return soon! We traveled with our 3 young adult daughters (18, 20 and 22) and loved the short walk to the beach, the multiple bathrooms, the game room downstairs and the two decks (1 beautiful deck on the top floor with great sun and the shaded deck below it for cooling off). Donna was extremely pleasant and communicative. Would definitely rent again!

Great Experience!

Donna couldn't have been nicer or more on point with her communication. She gave us a lot of good tips as it was our first trip to NC. Truly a great experience. The house is exactly as represented on the listing, we were very happy with the entire experience. I know the walk to the beach is a topic on most of the reviews connected to this property, but it is realistically a 5 to 10 minute walk depending on your fitness level. My suggestion is to take or rent a cart load it up with your beach items and drag it to the beach, not a big deal at all. We stayed on the road between the house and the beach it is the equivalent of a 5 to 6 block walk in NJ. Looking forward to renting this house again in the future.

Nice Getaway

The property was very clean, organized and well stocked with all of the things you would need. It was large enough that everyone could choose to spend time together or tuck away and rest. The owners were very responsive and even gave some recommendations on activities.

Nice Cozy Home for Families

Overall great week here. We had an issue with one of the beds and the owner handled it very promptly. Check in was simple, the house was clean and cozy. Access to the beach was a little far and hard to find but I was also injured and couldn't walk very easily. The neighborhood was quiet and close to the shopping center. My kids enjoyed the arcade and the wild horse tour. We made lots of memories here!

Another great vacation in this home!

Once again the process was easy, the owners were helpful & always quick to respond, and the house was perfect! We had one small issue with the frame of a bunk bed being loose and the owner had someone out to fix it immediately. We had another great week at this property and we will be back again!

Great vacation home!

We enjoyed our stay at Brightside. It had everything our family needed and more. The location was great and the hosts were very attentive. We liked the large table and that the house had many rainy-day things to do. Our kids loved feeding the turtles at the nearby lake.

Family Vacation Getaway

After a long 2020, we were so excited to get away to the Outer Banks! This house was lovely-well appointed, clean, and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Since the ocean was still a little chilly, everyone was excited to jump in the hot tub after the beach. The walk to the beach was a little more than we thought, but very doable and some of us rode bikes. Loved the first floor master/bath for my parents and the middle floor rooms worked out perfectly for the other 6 adults/kids. The game room was full of games, puzzles and books. Donna was a gem to work with and very quick to answer any questions we had. We loved the "BrightSide" and would definitely stay there again!

Wonderful visit to the Outer Banks

This was a great property and the house was perfect for 2 families with young children. It was well appointed and clean and the owners were fantastic to work with! We had one small issue which they fixed right away. The proximity to the lighthouse, etc was close enough that we could ride bikes there. It was a little bit of a walk to the beach but there was a path so we didn’t have to walk on the street much to get there. We would definitely stay here again!

What a great stay my family and I had at Brightside! Very spacious in the house with everybody having their own area to relax and unwind. Also, a very large common room with plenty of space for everyone to gather round and enjoy each other's company. The kitchen was well equipped with all the amenities needed to entertain. My personal favorite part of the property was the large dining table that we used to eat, set up dinner, and play games at! Donna was very attentive and prompt before and during our stay, which made our week much more relaxing. I highly recommend this property if you have a family that is looking to get away

We choose Corolla because of its serenity, close proximity to nature preserves and the infamous wild horses.

Our property is not simply an investment, it's our home. We take pride in our meticulous upkeep and enjoy spending our own vacations at Brightside. At only a short 8 min nature walk stroll to the beach, we can get away from main roads and traffic. Our Ocean Sands Community provides additional amenities such as Ocean Lake and Tennis/Pickleball courts in close proximity.
