Myakka River Retreat

Our home is located in South Venice Florida on the Myakka River. We are steps away from the Myakka State Forest with wonderful walking trails. We are tucked away but close to Englewood, North Port and Venice. Englewood Beach is 10 miles, Mannasota Key Beach 13 miles, Venice Beach 13 miles, kayaking out the front door! The all new Atlanta Braves Spring Training Facility, Cool Today Park is open and just 5.4 miles away.

What a wonderful place to stay. Close enough to everything, yet far enough away. Clean, quiet, and the host was easy to communicate with. Everything for a great vacation!!

Good location

We spent a month in Florida enjoying the sunshine and fishing. The Myakka River Retreat was centrally located in a very quiet neighborhood. The house had everything we needed and more. Wish the pool had been a bit warmer but I did manage to get in several times and soaked my feet a lot...lol

Close. Clean. Quiet. Well Equipped.

Very good deal. 100% will return. Quiet location. Close to groceries, pubs, any type of food. Very clean pool - felt great! Sat on dock and had morning coffee. Comfy beds, towels, ceiling fans. Hostess was thoughtful and very professional. Everything was a spot-on bulls-eye! We went to Atlanta Braves Spring Training at CoolToday Park. Was very surprised (pleased) at how close we were. A 6 minute drive!

Myakka River Retreat

We had a good month at the property. There were no issues with the home and the owners had arranged for the pool screen to be fixed after the hurricane damage the first week of our stay. The area is unique - all the streets are dead-ends and there is a wide mix of properties. Near the Myakka State Forest. Fairly close to shopping and restaurants.

Great area close to all you need

Used heated pool everyday, morning noon and night. Floating in pool and watching stars. What a life. Indoor furniture and beds, linens, towels were great. All kitchenware was exceptional. Only wish that the pool area had some sort of dining set and comfortable seating. Owners were great and quick to respond.

We just left the Myakka River Retreat near Venice, FL. Our stay was excellent. Everything you will need is here. Nice and clean rental home with pool. We would come back in a heartbeat.

Our stay in Venice

This was the virtual time we used VRBO and were very pleased with our experience. The home was very nice and very clean. The pool was heated and we really enjoyed it.. the home was in a quiet neighborhood away from the town but still convenient to shopping areas. I would definitely recommend it to other people.
