Our beautiful and large house welcomes you warmly and comfortably for your family holidays or your parties with friends.

Our house is located in a very small traditional village in the Ardennes 2 steps from the center, and at the foot of beautiful walks in the Natural Park Viroin-Hermeton. The house is an old stone house dating back over 120 years, renovated with style and equipped with all possible amenities (TV / DVD, WIFI, kitchen equipped with dishwasher, steam oven, toaster etc, etc). With 350 meters of living space, 6 large bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, it is perfect for family gatherings or parties with your groups of friends. A wood stove will also allow you to bring a warm atmosphere to your autumn and winter evening (wood is provided for free). The house is also suitable for children of all ages, with 2 cots, several highchairs, a baby bath and a changing table. There is also a play area in the lounge and a kicker (table football), as well as a swing in the garden.
A private garden of 10 acres overlooking the valley Viroinval and decorated with a large wooden deck and picnic benches, as well as basic outdoor furniture is at your disposal. It is accessible by a small path of 30 meters long.

While being located 2 steps from the center of the village, the house is in a very quiet street where you will find all the necessary equipment for the weekend: a small grocery store, as well as the best butcher in the area, a bakery and a restaurant. Everything is 5 minutes walk.

The village of Oignies-en-Thierache is a very quiet village, surrounded by hundreds and thousands of hectares of forest and 8 km from the Meuse. The Viroin-Hermeton region is known for its great diversity. It is located in the Viroin-Hermeton Nature Park in southern Wallonia which is famous for its richly varied flora and fauna. It is paradise for lovers of nature and the countryside.
Starting from your door, beautiful paths will take you to nearby villages or you can also hike in the woods and forests with our hiking map. The region is also ideal for cyclists with the presence of the Ravel (Autonomous Network of Slow Lanes), a green network organized around the defunct railway lines and transport routes of rivers and canals. It is possible to rent bicycles in the villages and nearby towns. You can also go kayaking on the Viroin River or go horseback riding at the nearby riding school.
On a more touristy plan, you can take the steam train that stops at the villages of the region (from Mariembourg to Treignes) or go to the local brewery open to visitors, where you can enjoy a local beer, the Super de Fagnes . You can also visit the steam train museum and its workshop where the steam trains are renovated.
