Would Stay Here Again

Good view of the beach, clean, and comfortable. Concierge was quick to respond when some problems arose. We would stay here again.

Excellent apartment and location

We’ve been to St Martin many times but had never stayed at Mont Vernon. We loved everthing about it!! The studio was perfect for 2. The location was peaceful and breathtaking. Highly recommend!! We will be back!!

Apartment was well located with fantastic view of Orient Bay. Host was very friendly, apartment was spot clean, very comfortable with everything we needed. Host was beyond their way to tell us about important local weather information and follow up on our needs. Cant recommend enough!

1st visit to the island.

This unit is on the beach above the pool. We watched sunrise every morning. You can close the hurricane shade if you sleep late. From Mt. Vernon is a 15 minute walk down the beach to the Orient Bay Beaches & restaurants. Drive there in 10 minutes. Plenty of parking at Mt. Vernon. Very quiet place to stay. We’re definitely going to be back.

Love location near groceries and great dining. Rooms are very clean and pool area is clothing optional for sun bathing. No children were around so it was nice and quiet.

Beach location , great view ! Studio with enough room for 2 , equipped kitchen with oven is useful for long stays . Queen bed with nite tables with sofa bed made our stay very comfortable. One negative comment no smart TV ! Patio furniture needs upgrade as you are always eating on the patio .Patio door was a challenge to open will need some attention Put that aside nice getaway adventure OJP

Great View (oceanfront apartment)

Very impressed on the cleanliness of the surroundings and quietness and very safe environment. The apartment has a great view nice to wake up in the morning to see the ocean.

Remote destination

The parking was awful. Remoteness to beach was a problem. Road blockade made it exceptionally difficult. Won’t stay there again.

Nice View & Location

I have stayed in this rental before (under a different owner). The new owners are very friendly and communicate well. The rental is well laid out, comfortable, has all the amenities needed, and has a gorgeous view of Orient Bay. Plenty of towels were furnished. Pizza Mont Vernon is on site which is quite convenient. The ferry to Pinel Island is 5 minutes away. All kinds off shopping (food and otherwise) is also 5 minutes away. Wonderful restaurants in Grand Case are about 8 minutes away. Overall a very fun pleasant stay and will definitely stay here again next time in SXM.

A Once Decent Condo in a Post-disaster Undesirable Location

The condo is decent enough inside, but the location is dreadful. Workmen were hammering over our heads on metal roofs all day. The area is largely uninhabitable as many of the units next to ours are still very storm damaged. The parking lot was a long hike from the unit and was an unpaved giant mud pit with large pools of water. (Don't bring any heavy luggage!) There was foul smelly cat feces we had to step over every time we approached our unit. Ugh. Our beach view was of a construction site with materials and debris everywhere and we heard bulldozers as well as hammering. The owner never admits any of this in the VRBO listing. Very deceptive, IMHO and the price is outrageous given the conditions! Communicating with the caretaker was done via WhatsApp but he was not always responsive and his English is limited. I cannot in good conscience recommend this place under its current conditions. Let the buyer beware!

A lovely to Stay amidst Reconstruction

The condo was well laid out, very clean & located right on the Orient Bay beach. The view of the Bay is lovely and it’s a short walk to the beach. The interior was spacious and clean and had all the things we needed for our stay. Just a word of warning the outside of the building is still under heavy reconstruction so the appearance is a little startling but don’t let that scare you off, this is a great place to stay if you are headed to the Saint Martin.

A Gem

This may be our 7th time at Mont Vernon. The effects of Irma are still there but the apartment was exactly as pictured. Very clean and comfortable. This may be the nicest unit we have rented.

Wonderful, quiet beachfront condo on Orient Beach

This condo property was hit hard by Hurricane Irma in September 2017. The residents & community are resilient, though! The Mont Vernon community is coming back, and tourist dollars will help with their rebuilding. The condo was bright, airy & well appointed! We were very happy with this choice for our vacation stay. Again, keep in mind the community is *still* rebuilding after Irma, so don’t expect everything to be pristine! The pool is still non-operational & the grounds, parking lot & tennis courts are in various levels of reconstruction. This is very important to keep in mind as you may consider this property, as not everything is brand new & without defect! Condo is fully restored and beautiful; surrounding property and area is in various stages of reconstruction. Great property, all things considered!!

Perfect spot.

This place was wonderful. The interior of the unit was beautiful - just as pictured. The view was beyond spectacular. We could walk onto Orient beach and enjoy all of the activities the area has to offer. Some of the very best restaurants are in the Orient area. Although easy to walk to during the day, I would recommend driving at night. Whatever you do, do not try to walk home on the road...the beach route is significantly shorter. Please note, the outside of the buildings and grounds still need a bit of work due to Irma (something beyond the owners control). All in all, a lovely and enjoyable place to stay.
