This beautiful house extends for over 200 sq.m, including a 70-sq.m terrace, and invites you to relax in comfortable surrounds in the stunning Viksdalen Valley. There are wonderful fishing spots in the Gaular River; we offer a boat on Lake Viksdalsvatnet. Fossestien's waymarked paths provide many different mountain trails. In the evening, you can lounge on the terrace with its 7-seat Jacuzzi, gas barbecue, and garden furniture. The house, sleeping nine guests, offers large, high-quality beds, two washing machines, two dishwashers, a tumble-dryer, a 46" LED TV, Internet access, most kitchenware, and a 10-seat dining table.

A beautiful and nice location

A peaceful stay in Viksdalen. A big house which contains all the tings you could possibly need on a vacation. Would like to visit again.

Our week in Viksdalen was unforgettable. The location is absolutely stunning—quiet, peaceful, and surrounded by natural beauty. The house was perfect for our two families, offering plenty of space and comfort. Everything was spotless, and the sound of the nearby waterfall added such a special charm. Torunn and Lars Egil were wonderful hosts—very welcoming and helpful. We especially loved relaxing in the hot tub each evening, taking in the majestic views. The home was also conveniently located for day trips, allowing us to explore many amazing parts of the Norwegian fjords. This was the perfect place to experience the best of Norway, and we would love to return.

Great stay!

It was amazing, the house is big and so lovely, we felt immediately at home. The owner is very friendly as well. The supermarket is around the corner where you can buy everything. We used the jaccuzi and also the boat on the lake which is near the house. The area is beautiful and this place is more than recommend!

Solitude

Experiencing Norway in its splendor and being in to every moment is how it felt and was a blast to one and all in the family. A must to go place and can’s thank enough for the hospatilty of Lars and having this beautiful home to experience Norway in the best manner possible. Plenty to do near by and day trips as needed and not enough days to fit in all. Enjoyed the solitude most of the day and being in nature.

Family haven

We had a wonderful time in Viksdalen with our extended family. We had everything that we needed or could want in the house. We loved the separate lakeside cabin but wished that we had discovered it sooner, rather than at then end of the holiday. If we could have changed anything it would be that the wonderful view wasn`t obscured by the owners roofline. It is very peaceful here and if you like solitude then this place has it in covered.

Immer wieder

In dem wunderschönen Haus bleiben keine Wünsche offen. Es ist alles vorhanden. Nicht nur das Interieur ist perfekt sonder auch die Ausstattung. Es gibt Gewürze, Handtücher und alles was wir zum Kochen benötigen. Gleiches gilt für das Bad, inclusive Waschmittel. Das hatten wir so nicht erwartet. Unser Host Lars Egil hat uns sehr freundlich empfangen und uns alles gezeigt und erklärt. Auch während unseres Aufenthalts war er jederzeit ansprechbar. Wir können die Unterkunft nur weiterempfehlen.

Wunderschönes Haus für erholsamen Urlaub

Das Haus ist unglaublich schön und sehr gut ausgestattet. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Natur bietet einige schöne Ausflugsziele in der Nähe. Ein rundum gelungener Urlaub im Herzen Norwegens ist hier komfortabel möglich. Auto erforderlich.

A wonderful house, extremely well equipped. Lars-Egil is a perfect host: hospitable, accessible and friendly, and at the same time discreet and non-meddling. You will definitely need a car to explore the environment, but the local shop is at walking distance, and the host is never far away. All is perfect for a relaxing holiday.

Sehr komfortables Haus in toller Umgebung

Wir waren für 2 Wochen dort und es war toll. Das Haus war sehr sauber und es ist sehr gut ausgestattet. Durch die 2 getrennten Wohnungen (oben und unten) ist es auch bestens für 2 Familien geeignet. Lars-Egil hat uns bei Ankunft alles gezeigt und erklärt und war auch bei Fragen sehr hilfsbereit. Auf alle Fälle sehr zu empfehlen - wir würden gerne wiederkommen!

Das Haus war super. Schön groß und viel Platz. Auch wenn man als 2 Parteien zusammen das Haus bucht hat jeder seine Rückzugsmöglichkeit,2 Küchen 2 Wohnzimmer,2 Badezimmer. Das Haus war sauber und ordentlich und wundervoll weihnachtlich geschmückt. Im Haus war alles vorhanden. Mülltüten, Gewürze Toilettenpapier etc. Der Vermieter war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit,hat für unsere Mädels sogar Schlitten bereit gestellt. Wir hatten einen großartigen Aufenthalt. Vielen Dank

Once in a lifetime experience! Hopefully twice!

I have to say that this was one of the best vacations our family has ever been on. I took my wife, two boys, and Dad. We stayed in this beautiful home and took daily excursions to nearby attractions. The house was better than can be seen in the pictures. We were also able to use a motorboat to go fish daily and go to a nearby beach. Everyone we bumped into seemed friendly and hospitable. The local market that is walking distance had most things that were needed. You are able to fuel up your vehicle there as well. I can’t speak enough praise about Lars and his family. They are amazing and very nice with the kids. I’m not the best writer but if your looking to experience real Norway with the help of a friendly host family, This is your place. Thank you Lars!!!

Ein sehr schönes Objekt in einer schönen Gegend

Es war ein sehr gelungener Aufenthalt. Der Vermieter war sehr nett und hilfsbereit, wenn Fragen vorhanden waren. Im Ort ist ein ausreichend großer Supermarkt vorhanden inkl Tankstelle. Im Umkreis von 2 Fahrstunden gibt es auch etliche Sehenswürdigkeiten zu bewundern. Wir waren sehr zufrieden.

Sehr schönes Opjekt, Super nette Gastgeber, Opjekt und Gastgeber kann man nur empfehlen

Haus sehr sauber! Umgebung "Bauernhof" sauber und Kühe hört man nicht. Der Vermieter achtet sehr auf ruhe. Wenn es mal etwas lauter werden kann, dann bespricht er es mit den Mietern bzw. arbeitet in der Nähe des Hauses bei Abwesenheit. Das Objekt liegt in einer schönen Gegend. Wanderung - Eine Wanderung "Wasserfallweg" sollte man unbedingt machen. Allerdings bei den Streckenlängen, wurde sich etwas vermessen. Ein 9 km - Wanderweg 3-5 Stunden, kann schön mal 12 km sein. Insgesamt waren (3 Etappen) 21 km in Wirklichkeit 30 km. Wir werden bestimmt dieses Objekt noch einmal besuchen. Danke an Lars-Egil Viken und seiner Familie für diese sehr schönen drei Wochen. PS: einziger "Mangel"! - Rauchmelder in der Küche sollte demontiert werden. Löst beim anbraten Alarm aus. Gruß Dieter, Marion, Dominik und Nicole

I am a hardworking farmer in my fifties and hope to have the opportunity to both host you and add another string to my bow. I live with Torunn, who works at a bank. We have two sons: 20 and 17 years old. As happy, extroverted people, we would like to do all we can for you to have an enjoyable stay with us. We have good command of English and our youngest can speak a little German, so can help when he's at home. In the winter, we like to travel, for our part, and stay with friends. It is often tricky to find houses that can accommodate several families. We have designed this house with that need in mind.

This house is recently built, with quality amenities, and spans over 200 sq.m. It has an optimal location near Lake Viksdalsvatnet in wonderful western Norway. The house offers vast bedrooms and large, high-quality beds. It sleeps 9 guests. Upon request, an extra bed can be added. Of the 70-sq.m terrace, 35 sq.m has a canopy. The outdoor Jacuzzi has room for up to seven people. There is a gas barbecue and fireplace. The rate includes use of a boat / boat tour. This is a truly one-of-a-kind fishing and hiking area. The location is 300 m away.
