Perfect house for family time

Our group of 10 adult family members had a great stay at Ironwood. We threw dinner on the grill and sat around the fire pit. House had everything we needed.

Location & Space perfect, but a little rough around the edges

After some initial hiccups, that were quickly fixed by the management team, we had a great weekend. However, we did deal with the largest scorpion I’ve ever seen in my life, and multiple camel spiders in bedrooms. The size of the house was perfect for our party of 12 adults, and it was super nice that there was a king or queen size bed in each room. Unfortunately, there are no mattress pads on any of the beds, so take that with what you will. We selected this house because of the large horse corral, as we are planning on doing some line dancing one of the evenings. However, much to our dismay, when we arrived, it had hip high weeds and the entire backyard looked like it hadn’t been power washed or cleaned in months. We are so thankful that the management team was able to come and take care of the weeds so that the horse corral was usable space. They also power washed the deck for us and fixed a broken toilet. I just wish that we had had that done before we got to the rental property since the corral is featured in multiple pictures and there’s nothing that says it is not usable space in the ad. There were a ton of towels provided and basic toiletries. The kitchen did have plates, silverware, etc., but not an extensive amount of extra kitchen things, so if you are planning on a lot of cooking, you might want to bring some of your own stuff. The fridge is also OK, but if you’re planning on having a lot of drinks bring coolers.

2 night stay

The home had adequate space for the number of people in our group and layout was as expected. Our complaint was in the cleanliness and worn out nature of outdoor cushions, (wholes, dirty) grill had not been cleaned, outdoor sink and patio was filthy. When you pay over $1500 for a 2 night stay this doesn’t feel right. 😕

Enjoyed time with friends but maybe a refresh is needed.

Overall the property was wonderful with plenty of outdoor space to enjoy and a clean sleeping space for me and my family/friends. There were plenty of pool towels which was appreciated and overall the house was clean. The unfortunate part was that some of the property is a little old and needs a refresh and restock. The outdoor kitchen grill was not operational, the replacement grill lid was broken, the fire pit ran out of propane after two short usages, there were not enough dishes, silverware, glasses, etc for all guests based on sleeping number. The cushions for the pool were in bad disrepair. I had to unclog three sinks using a plunger, there was not a curtain or door in the master shower, and the small icemaker was covered in black mold.

Golf & Tequila with Friends

I recently stayed at this home rental for a weekend getaway with friends, and overall, it was a pleasant experience. The location of the rental was excellent, situated in a quiet neighborhood. It was clean and well-maintained, with ample space for our group of 10. We appreciated the fully equipped kitchen. Overall, we had an enjoyable stay and I would recommend it to others staying in the area."

Great place for family

This home was a great place for the small family reunion we had in the Phoenix area. It’s a little out of the way but with grocery store close by wasn’t a big deal. The kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans and plenty of room to park multiple vehicles. With 4 generations of family there from 82 years old to 1 year old it was perfect. The fire pit was a hit with the kids at night The swimming pool is not heated and was a little cool but was used by those from up north. Will definitely use this property again in the future if available.

Maintenance Issues

Lovely home but we were specifically looking for a pool property when we rented this home and the pool was filthy, unusable. No safety bar or anti slip in the tub/shower for grandparents. Covers missing from pool drains. General maintenance poor - towel and tissue paper holders about to fall, faux wood blinds in bad shape throughout the house etc. The code we were given to enter were wrong but customer service was able to give us another code with a call. This home is nice and could be an amazing stay with proper upkeep.

Beautiful location!

Very nice home in a beautiful & quiet location. Ideal for a large group/ family. The location is terrific allowing for "space" (out in horse country) but also close to major amenities.

Education Reunion

The property was ideally located for our needs. Check-in was super simple and the rules were easy to understand and follow. Communication from Avant was regular but not overwhelming and they were available if we needed anything. The backyard was lovely with a firepit (gas provided) a pool, a lawn, and an outdoor bbq and dining area. I would definitely recommend this location to others with a family or group.

Family stay In Scottsdale

We did have a lovely stay gathering family together in Scottsdale for a family event. The house was great for what we needed and slept every one very comfortably. There were toiletries, linens and towels for everyone. The communication with the management company was extremely horrible. There was hardly ever any direct communication when booking until we checked into the house (only email communication and no one willing to pick up a phone to discuss questions about the listing). When checking in, the wifi did not work thus the TV did not work. No one came to fix it and it was not solved our entire stay. The company did get us in touch with the local house manager but he did nothing to assist us in fixing the wifi. This made our visit to this location satisfactory. We would not stay here again given the communication issues and the wifi issues.

Great stay, some maintenance needed

We had a great time! The house was clean and comfortable. I would highly recommend it. There was some wear to the property, especially in the pool area (e.g. tiles missing out cracked, plastic caps at the bottom of the pool broken or missing). Also, there were some black widow spiders in the outside door ways and around the outdoor garbage cans. Not unexpected for the area but they should be cleared.

Great experience!

The house and property were perfect for our needs. We had 3 families and each were able to have their own area. Avantstay management was was amazing! They promptly answered all questions and helped us with a small issue immediately. We would definitely stay there again.

Great time

It was a great stay. I liked the different rooms. Love they had swim towels available for us. Some forgot theirs. There was some sand in the pool on the steps and within the pool but not enough to ruin the fun. Water was amazing. The bugs were the only negative. When we checked in there were gnats and little bugs on the back door and months. But I also live in AZ and know it wasn’t due to any cleaning issues it was just a bad year this year.

Spring get away

The property was clean and will kept up. The pool and outdoors area were nice and provided good options for being outside during the day and evening. Most VRBO's that I have used have condiments and etc in the cupboards. However, this one didn't have any. It's not a big deal at all but just passing it on Overall, it was great

FAMILY GET AWAY

Took a much needed trip to relax with my children and one grandchild. Home was beautiful and clean. The beds were comfortable. Enjoyed the spacious kitchen which had plenty of room for cooking. The refrigerator was empty which was nice to be able to put our food away. Enjoyed the pool. The only downfall were the leaves that kept flying into the pool. Mother Nature at its best. Overall, much fun had by all. Looking forward to our next trip. Would definitely return.

Relaxing

We went away for a long weekend on a couples trip and this house was exactly what I was looking for. Something a little further out of town but still close enough to stores for groceries or supplies. The house was fully stocked with everything to cook and grill food, which is all we did. The pool and outdoor areas were great as well as all rooms in the home. If you are looking for a place to relax and enjoy some outdoor/indoor fun with loved ones, this is the place.
