About Larry and Sally Priske

My wife and I moved to Galena in 1974. We purchased an old miners cottage, made some restorations and sold it in 1985 to move to this amazing property. We built a new home on the 120 acres where we currently reside. in 1989 we built a second house on the property (Pine Hollow), to operate as a guest house. The home was recently upgraded and listed with into a VRBO in 2020.

This home, known as Pine Hollow received its name from a Christmas Tree Farm that we operated during the 80's and 90's. It is a charming 2400 square foot cottage home that is located in a beautiful parklike setting, surrounded by wildlife and much of the beauty that nature offers. Directly in front of the guest house is a large fire pit for your enjoyment. Just beyond the fire pit is a beautiful spring fed stream. The location, the seclusion, the close 2 minute drive to Galena, makes it a wonderful choice for visitors. The home is laid out very well and offers guests not only a secluded home site, but also spacious bed rooms, two great gathering place for family and friends, offering all the comforts of home.

The timber is managed as a sustainable tree farm. We do our best to preserve the quality of the timber, while also providing good environmental stewardship to the entire property. The property is very diverse, offering steams, timber, prairie and wetlands. The result is a unique Ecco system for wild life to partake. All this and yet only two minutes to Galena and all the amenities of the area. This is truly a get away paradise.
