About this property

le pech de compassy/Olivier

Our vacation rental is located on a 6ha estate with 3 other cottages and 2 beautiful swimming pools to share.
The cottage "l'Olivier" consists of a ground floor with living / dining room and American kitchen and 3 bedrooms with 3 bathrooms on the first floor. It is located next to another small gite le Cerisier. Each rental has its own terrace with a personal garden area and an individual barbecue.
Our rentals are located about fifteen kilometers from Sarlat and 30 km from Rocamadour, in a quiet environment, with an unobstructed view and a large space for children to play in complete safety. It is a very pleasant place to spend holidays with families or friends.Many activities are possible in the surroundings such as a canoe descent on the Dordogne, a climbing site set up 2km away, a large fishing pond on Gourdon which is a very pretty medieval town where all the shops are present. Castles, caves and troglodyte sites are also part of our landscape. You can also find all its explanations on our website gite-compassy-dordogne.fr
Our swimming pools are fenced with secure gates for children. They are open from May 1 to September 30.

Gîte très agréable avec 2 piscines bien entretenues. Juste une réflexion au niveau des couverts de table en fer blanc qui ne sont pas à la hauteur du reste ; A modifier.......;

Base for exploring the Dordogne

The L'Olivier Gite was typical rural French property, plenty of old style charm in a very peaceful setting well off the beaten track. The pool offered a welcome way to cool off. The location was perfect for exploring , with the well known attractions in every direction within 30-50 minutes, the local town of Gourdon with a good supermarket or two. The Dordogne exceeded my expectations, it is both breath taking in beauty and incredibly interesting geographically and historically. The Gite was generally well equipped, we did need to buy some plastic ware to take down to the pool (rather than glass), the internet was slower than snails pace (0.05MB/sec!) and I would usually prefer to see fewer spiders in the property - but that could reduce the rustic charm. The same could be said for the garden - less manicured than the English country garden, perhaps more laisser faire is the French style. The hosts were charming and unobtrusive. Overall we loved it!

Un site extraordinaire pour une réunion familiale à 18 personnes : un cadre bucolique et calme, des logements impeccables, vastes et bien décorés garantissant l'indépendance de chacun. Très appréciée également, la piscine, au retour des visites dans les sites touristiques nombreux à proximité. Accueil chaleureux de Valérie et Pierre, aussi disponibles que discrets, qui nous ont bien conseillés pour organiser notre découverte de la région. Séjour très agréable que nous aurions aimé prolonger ... un seul désir : y revenir !

magnifique séjour

Notre séjour dans la région de Sarlat s'est merveilleusement passé. Ce gîte était superbe dans un emplacement des plus calme. Belle maison avec toutes les commodités. Propriétaires accueillants et très serviables. Une location que nous recommandons sans hésiter.

Perfect, exactly as described on the website

The property was exactly as described and pictured on their website and perfect for us (2 adults, 2 children). It was clean and well maintained and we have particulary apreciate barbecue, pool and the big garden with table tennis. we recommend this cottage.

Nous avions loués ces 3 gites car nous étions 20 personnes et les propriétaires nous les ont aménagé de façon que nous puissions mangé tous ensemble dans un des gites , un autre ou ils avaient installés le salon et la répartition des couchages était impeccable sur les 3 gites . La région est magnifique et il y a beaucoup de chose à visiter et les propriétaires sympas

Super week-end de Paques

Super week-end de pâques avec nos enfants qui ont adoré l'immense jardin les balançoires et la table de ping-pong. Nous, nous avons apprécié d'avoir chacun une salle de bain par chambre. C'est une région vraiment magnifique, merci à Valérie et Pierre pour leur accueil chaleureux.

un trés bon gite

Nous avons passé quelques jours avec nos amis et avons vraiment apprécié le calme et l'authenticité ce de petit hameau. Le gite est bien équipé et les propriétaires sont discrets et de bon conseil. Nous reviendrons surement aux beaux jours.
