A really nice place to stay, felt so at home as soon as we arrived. Plenty of lounge seating, which isn't often the case, and very comfortable beds. The fire was a bonus, very effective The beach is close, and great for a wander and beachcombing.Host was super accessible, thank you Lorraine. Would definitely visit again.
We had a wonderful weekend at Kairakau Hideaway. It was a girls trip with high school friends and the place was perfect. We enjoyed meals on the deck, a terrible game of tennis and walks on the beach. We look forward to coming back again next year!

This Place is amazing. We loved it here. The beach is just a short walk. The Batch is warm, clean, and comfortable. The view of the rock face/hill behind you is mesmerizing. I am a huge fan of the Monarch Butterfly and the garden is full of them.

Lovely homely batch kept us nice and dry and warm during some horrible weather. Everything we needed and we enjoyed having a very easy to use fireplace! Lorraine was very quick to reply to any questions I had. Would love to go back when the weather is better to enjoy the beach.

A very warm host with family that have been connected to Kairakau forever. There is the story of the connection to the beach that goes back well over a century. The bach is a traditional bach, but large for a bach and very comfortable. Peaceful, backing onto bush and a high ridge. Wonderful beach.
