TV, DVD player + movies, ipod dock, and internet access are all part of the complimentary media package provided. We can provide a Webber BBQ should you wish to cook up a local catch or sizzle a steak.
We live in a property adjacent to the studio. We will always try to have either ourselves, or a family member meet you to show you around your beach studio and offer some tips on fun and exciting activities around Lorne. You will have a mobile number and an email address so you can contact us at all times during your stay.
We are always sensitive to our guest’s privacy, but if you need anything at all, just send us a text or knock on the main house door. We love suggesting interesting local activities, sharing a cool drink, and an exchange of cultures if you are a little outgoing.
Lorne is the heart of the Great Ocean Road. It’s nestled on the shores of Louttit Bay and has a unique environment where beach meets rainforest (the Otways). The mountains surrounding Lorne form a distinctive micro-climate which brings unique flora and fauna to the region, as well as some of the world’s best walking trails. Spend a few days wandering in Lorne and you're sure to spot Kangaroos, Koalas, Cockatoos, Parrots, Wombats and Echidnas.
The protected bay waters are perfect for all types of activities - Swimming, surfing, snorkeling and ski paddling are amongst the most popular.
The range and quality of restaurants and cafes right on the beach and along the main street will be sure to satisfy almost every taste.
If you're a shopper - get excited and prepare to be tempted by the amazing options for clothes, shoes, jewellery, award-winning ice cream and an end-of-day cocktail.
V/Line public transport runs buses from Geelong Railway Station to Lorne main street.
From Melbourne, catch a train to Geelong, then a bus to Lorne.
Enjoy the surrounding birdlife, but please don't feed the Cockatoos as they will come back when you have gone and eat the studio. It is best if all birdlife is not feed.
- Our only other requests are that you treat the studio and amenities as if they were your own. We ask that you are respectful of your neighbours and the pristine environment which Lorne has to offer.
