Great bargain in the Smoky Mountains
Our family of 6 spent 4 nights in the Smoky Mountains at this cabin, and it worked out perfect. After being out sightseeing and hiking each day, it was easy to come back and cook dinner and relax, while the kids enjoyed the pool table and hot tub. There was plenty of space in the cabin as well. The management was super easy to work with, and we had no problems. If you are looking for a reasonably-priced location, we'd recommend this location.
Very homey and cozy. The surroundings were gorgeous. Fully stocked with all the essentials.
It was a gorgeous cabin with lots of space. No problems at all. The only thing that was not up to pare was the over size tub up stairs the jets did not work. It was a little disappointing. That would be the only thing that would have made our stay even better. Thanks for a wonderful stay.
We are glad you enjoyed the cabin as it is very popular in the Gatlinburg area and look forward to your return visit. As far as the upstairs tub it is advertised as a soaking tub and also noted in the tub area. The owners are planning on replacing it in the near future as the tub is an older model and the parts for the jets are now obsolete.
Me and my family and friends loved it and want to visit again real soon with just me my husband and our two children
Loved Peaceful Moments
This cabin was perfect for our girls trip! When we started planning our annual girls trip, the idea of mountains rather than beaches came up and since some of us are in Michigan and one is in Florida, we figured Tennessee was a good half way spot for us. The idea of renting a cabin rather than a hotel or condo came up and when we started searching for places to stay, we had no idea there were SO many options. We came across Cramer's Creekside Cabins and went for it. Peaceful Moments had all accommodations we were looking for...room to sleep 5/6+, WiFi, 2+ bathrooms and an outdoor hot tub.
Upon arrival, all expectations had been exceeded in all areas! There was so much space, everything was clean and we were getting exactly what we wanted-a cozy cabin in the woods. We weren't too far from downtown Gatlinburg (which was fine by us) but close enough to enjoy lots of scenic hikes and tourist type activities.
We spent a lot of time outside on the back porch, enjoying the scenery, playing games and drinking beer. I would absolutely recommend this rental for a group of friends or a family vacation spot. Plenty of room for at least 5/6 people
Our family went to Gatlinburg for the first time. It was also my youngest sons 13th birthday. We were so excited to get to the cabin. However, we had to go through spider webs and dead bugs to reach the door. Then, we opened the door and entered the cabin. We saw dirt, dust, dead and alive bugs, crumbs, frosting, dried spaghetti, rice, and other disgusting things. I began cleaning right away. I just drove over 8 hours and I had to immediately start cleaning. It was a good thing that I brought clorox wipes! We found baby cookies/crackers on the chair and floor. The cabin smelled very musty. We walked into the bathroom on the main floor and the tub was black as well as the curtain and mat in the tub. I scrubbed it immediately also. Then we left a message with Dan. Then, we began to check the beds and that is when we found the bed on the main floor with crumbs all over the sheets, and the master bed only had a flat sheet on it. I tried another number that I found on a card in the cabin and I reached Dan. My husband explained to him what was going on in the cabin and he didn't believe us! Finally, he sent Becky ( the head of housekeeping, I believe). She put clean sheets on the 2 beds. She apologized and said that Dan would be talking to us in the morning. The next morning we had to leave the cabin so that they could come in and "clean." Dan called us that morning and asked if we still wanted them to come and clean. We of course said "yes" that all Becky did was change the sheets on 2 of the 3 beds. When we got back to the cabin on Friday night, the cabin looked a lot better. The housekeeping still didn't attempt to clean the basement which included a bedroom and bathroom. So we of course had to clean it ourselves if we wanted to use it. We still didn't want to touch or sit on anything that we didn't clean ourselves. We went into the hot tub for a few minutes, but it was really gross! It had bugs and spider webs in it. The porch was covered with bugs, leaves and spider webs. I know that this is a cabin, BUT I would have expected them to at least hose off the porch and front entrance.
This was so disappointing for our family. We were expecting a "home away from home" and got nothing close. I emailed Dan my concerns after we left, because we wanted to try to enjoy the rest of our vacation. I was waiting for his response before I posted this. I haven't heard from Dan or anyone from Crammer Creek Cabin Rentals.
Cramers Creekside Cabins Inc. staff takes pride in maintaining clean an operational cabins for our guests to enjoy. When situations arise and they sometimes do we are prepared with a 24/7 maintenance crew to assist our guests.
In this case the guest called with complaints late the night of check in. Within 30 minutes staff members from housekeeping and maintenance were at the cabin to rectify the situation.
The only legitimate issue was the housekeeper had forgotten to provide a sheet for one of the beds which was placed on the bed that night. The housekeeper asked if the guests were happy and they stated they were and said it was time for the staff to go home and get some sleep.
I contacted the guest the following morning to apologize for the missing sheet and if they needed anything else. They asked if the crew would go back and check the basement. I also went along with the crew and discovered the complaints of the guests to be unfounded. The guest also stated I did reply to their emails which I did (emails on file). Fortunately the majority of our guests do not share these opinions.
