A 1 room cabin with a loft

Cabin #3 is a tastefully decorated family cabin available with a 'fun' loft to sleep up to 8 guests. On the front porch is a rocking chair and pew for sitting out on starry nights. The Cedar River is a short pleasant walk from the cabin. A rural area with many wildlife, but close to many attractions, including but not limited to the Mississippi town of Muscatine, Iowa. Many activities at the camp, with acres of timber and trails that run along the Cedar River. Plus we now have our brand new swimming pool open, plus there is horseshoes, basketball, sand volleyball, and a playground.
Cabins are heated and air conditioned for comfort. All cabins have fire pits, charcoal grills and picnic tables
.During summer months, enjoy access to our NEW swimming pool and bath house!
Our prices include all fees. No hidden fees.

Wonderful Place

We stayed here a long weekend and throughly enjoyed our time there. It is a beautiful place tucked away with pretty scenery. It was relaxing and fun for all. We met the owners Jim and Freda and they are wonderful ❤ We will most definitely be staying here again!!

Wonderful stay! Highly recommended!

We spent 2 nights here in May 2022, and the experience was absolutely perfect! The cabin was even more spacious than I thought it would be from the photos! It was perfectly clean, and had all of the comforts of home! The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, cups, silverware, paper towels, small appliances, etc. It had a nice sized small refrigerator that held a decent amount, and it had a small freezer too that we used! The microwave was great! No oven/stove, but they had an electric griddle available, so between that, the microwave and outdoor grill...there's no problems making a nice meal! The queen bed on the main floor was very comfortable, and my son said the loft bed was also quite comfy! There was plenty of pillows and towels available. A really nice personal touch to the cabin included their own brand of handmade hand-soaps and shower/body wash! We were pretty busy so we didn't have much time to explore the property, but everything looks well taken care of! It's obvious the owners/hosts take pride in the property and put a lot of time and thought into making the grounds, as well as the cabins, very nice. Back at home prior to leaving on our trip to Iowa, we ran into a minor family emergency that could have caused us scheduling conflicts. I contacted the hosts and they were prompt with replying to my messages and wanted to work with us to help accommodate us. Luckily, we were able to arrive & stay as planned, but their kind understanding helped assure us before we even arrived, that this would be a great stay! I'd 100% stay here next time we are in the area! I've already recommended it to the friends we saw over the weekend there! THANK YOU for a PERFECT stay! Mary from Michigan

Amazing time!

Easy to book online, no check in/out really had combination to get key and put it back when done had all kinds of towels, toilet paper necessities you would need. Had a little problem with the stool leaking but they were there within 10 mins to fix. Play area for kids actually liked it so well rented the cabin next door for my other kids to come and stay!

Two days of fun

We booked this place to stay for the weekend of the 4th of July. It was a great place, the cabin was clean and big enough for 8 adults. It was right by the river and a nice short trail to the river. They had volleyball and basketball and a small playground. We had so much fun. Overall, it was a great stay for me and my friends.

Beautiful area to unplug

I absolutely love these cabins. It's a small getaway tucked in the middle of Nowhere, IA. There's almost no cell service and no Wi-Fi in the family cabins, but we actually preferred that. The cabins are clean, updated nicely, spacious, and stocked with the essentials plus a few added benefits. I am very excited to visit again for our family vacation next year.

Nikki, Lee and their teenage daughter Emilee Salek are the hosts. The owners are Jim and Freda Sojka, third wind entrepreneurs with a longtime dream of buying this camp so close to our home. It has been a church camp since the 70s, we wanted to convert it to something families could enjoy. We also love a family business to run together.
We wanted to share our good fortune, through the sale of a successful business, (Bug Soother)this is an excellent way to be able to do that.

Why they chose this property

Beautiful area, within 10 minutes of our homes. We fell in love with it several years ago, and finally were able to purchase the property.

What makes this property unique

With 53 acres of timber and trails along the Cedar River, our cabins are perfect for the outdoor explorer. Plus, our brand new swimming pool, with volleyball and basketball courts, horseshoes, and 2 playgrounds, there are plenty of activities for all ages. During the summer season, roast marshmallows around the fire pit, and relax.

We also have 2 big buildings that hold events, and a large commercial kitchen to cater to events.

The Ranch is set up to make some memories.

Also on the property will be a transitional living community for women in crisis. By staying at the ranch, people are supporting a fresh start for these women.
