This is a 2 bedroom, 2 bath apartment, with an additional living room/office. It is very secluded and has its own private entrance and parking area.
You will enjoy a beautiful lush green yard, fruit trees, private parking, a bocce court, covered patio, commercial BBQ, patio area, fire pit and a pool. The gorgeous full size chef's kitchen will satisfy any gourmet chef with gas cooktop, quartz countertops, drawer microwave, 2 warming ovens, island, farm sink, full size refrigerator and dishwasher. There is a dramatic and unique glass industrial garage door in the kitchen that opens to a lovely covered patio and bbq area. Property is 1200 sq feet, single story with 2 bedrooms and 2 full baths. There are dining areas in the kitchen and outside. There are 2 full bathrooms, one with a Jetted tub and separate shower and one with a rainhead shower. There is a third room that has a queen sofa bed in it and therefore can also be used for sleeping, but it is marketed as a TV room or office, not a full time third bedroom. There is a Miele washer and dryer located in the bathroom. Home is located on a private road with a park in front of the property with full access to canal trail for biking, jogging or just walking the dog. There is a 42' long pool, a regulation bocce court, and large yard. Perfect for family visiting from out of state or out of country or for a flex-cation. Home is 27 miles to San Francisco and 36 miles to Napa Wine Country. There is also a fire pit area, perfect for sitting and watching the moon rise while roasting marshmallows or enjoying a glass of wine. 3rd room has a sofa bed queen sleeper and can be used as TV/office/family/bedroom. We don't recommend you use it as a full time bedroom.

Not Worth It

We had a terrible stay here. Given the price of the listing, this is not reflective of the actual value. We had plumbing issues and multiple power outages. There's also no AC other than in the kitchen so it gets quite hot. The primary bedroom has not been updated. This is also attached to the owners house with limited privacy. Also, the "3rd bedroom" which is just really a living room with a pull out sofa resides between the two other rooms and the kitchen so you can't go back and forth without disturbing whoever is staying in that room. Parking is up the hill a bit which makes carrying groceries and other things a pain.

Your stay with us was for the months of August and September and up until mid-September I never heard from you regarding your dissatisfaction with anything in the unit. The first time you said something about the air conditioning was when we suffered a severe heat wave and the power company (Pacific Gas and Electric) had implemented rolling black outs and randomly shut off the power. The air conditioning will not work when there is no power but again, we had nothing to do with that. The A/C conditioning system in our unit wasn't the problem, it was the public utility company that turned off your air conditioning. You mentioned you had multiple plumbing problems, but you don't mention what the problems were. You also never reported you were having plumbing issues to us. You also mention the primary bedroom has not been updated. If there was something missing or not updated, you should have told us. The apartment you rented is attached to the main house and the pool is a shared space as stated in the property description. Regarding the "3rd" bedroom. Yes, you are correct, it is a room that can be a living room, office, or a 3rd bedroom. It has a brand-new Queen La-Z-Boy sofa bed in it so if you want to use it as a bedroom you can. It clearly states that in the VRBO description. I can't understand why you said, "it was a pain carrying the groceries up the hill" when you know for a fact there are two entrances to the property; one is "up the hill" and one entrance is completely level and in fact was where you parked one of your three cars while you stayed here. You said your experience here wasn't "worth the money". In my world, actual value is the price you paid for the product you booked and perceived value is what you think it should cost. You made the decision to rent the property based on your family dynamics, school location and lodging requirements. Clearly my property was too small for what you needed, and you should have booked something with an additional bedroom for your nanny. My property is a beautiful space, and we are nothing but welcoming and caring hosts.

So this property is actually the back of the house. The owners live in the front of the house. They are the nicest people you will ever meet. The kitchen is perfect for whatever your needs are. The owners are working on creating a separate entrance and parking space in the back of the house. The backyard is wonderful. There is a pool, Bocce court, trampoline, fire pit, swings, tree house and a zip line. This place is perfect for entertaining. There is one bedroom with a full size bed and another bedroom with a queen and a twin bed. The living room currently has a twin day bed with twin trundle bed underneath it, but I think the owners are going to put a sofa bed in there. There are two bathrooms, one near the bedrooms with double sinks, a shower and tub. The other bathroom off of the kitchen has just a shower and is where the laundry is located. Our family of 5 was very comfortable here for almost two months. The kids really loved the backyard. Cindy and Barry the owners are very welcoming, accommodating and helpful. I can't say enough about them or this place, it was out best rental experience ever.

As you noted in your comments, we are working to provide a second private parking area and additional entrance. I wanted to clarify for folks that the apartment does have its own private entrance and the new parking area will provide an additional way to access it. One more thing, we love love love the artwork your daughter gifted us with of the property, so thoughtful and lovely. She is truly gifted.

My husband and I are retired, our kids have families of their own and we have a big ol' empty house. We got started renting out our house initially when we had some friends who had family coming to the states to visit and we just happened to be gone during that time, so we let them use our house when we were traveling away. We kind of stumbled into the whole process but had such great experiences that we kept doing it through VRBO once or twice a year while we were gone traveling.

This property is so unique and offers something for everyone. If you want quiet, solitude privacy and security, this property offers that. If you like to have friends and family over for bocce and BBQ it offers that as well. It is wonderfully located close to 3 major freeways to take you north south, east or west, yet is very private and fronts to a park where you can hike or bike for miles on the canal trail. The view of Mt. Diablo is magnificent and always a surprise. The yard is completely fenced so kids and pets can't wander off. The regulation bocce court is great fun and fully lighted for night games.

The design of this property is very unique. Not everyone has a full size commercial glass garage door in their kitchen! Lots of fun, lots of beauty and fully furnished comfort. We have high end luxury sheets and bedding and everything is completely sterilized of course.
