Great retreat!

Spent a week here for my birthday and it was perfect. The house was well-stocked, clean and comfortable. The decor was enough to make it feel homey but not enough to make childproofing difficult. Enjoyed the view, a trip on the kayak and some day trips to nearby towns. Owners are very nice and accommodating. Would definitely stay again!

Home is super designed to accomodate guests!

We arrived with it being 20 degrees outside and nice and toasty walking in to the house. Fresh fruit in a bowl and it just felt very homey. The home was clean with plenty of clean towels, and everything we get at a nice hotel. The deck overlooking the lake was great and dealing with Beth and her husband was also a pleasure. We hope to stay again!

Fantastic vacation location

great vacation location. The home was perfect for our family. We could have used A Satellite tv and wi-fi for the kids, but they survived. The fishing kept them very busy. The kayaks got plenty of use. The lake is full of large bass and Pike. Caught a 30 inch, 5 Lb pike on very last night, right off the dock. Hope to go back next year

Beautiful home on a perfect lake!

We had a great time and the home was everything we expected. Beth and George are wonderful people to work with. Our family feels blessed to be able to all be together. The lake is small but perfect for water sports and fishing. We were able to have a family meal of fish while there. It seemed most days we had the lake to ourselves. We had 2 babies and a toddler and the yard and beach were perfect size. We do not think the hot tub is functioning as we could not get it to 104 degrees as directed. We did not use it. The boat ramp for the lake is rough, but that is not a discredit to this home or the lake. We would love to stay here again.

Very nice, but cold. Fault of the Minnesota winter!

The house was very nice and clean. The only problem was that there was only one and a quarter rolls of toilet paper for eight women, one of them pregnant.

Secluded Little Lake

We absolutely loved it! It was very private and secluded, great for a little weekend getaway. Thae only suggestion we thought of was maybe a little more privacy for the hot tub area? It seemed like the neighbors weren't even home so it wasn't that big of a deal! We will definitely be back. :)

Great Vacation!

We totally enjoyed our stay. The clear small lake was perfect of our family. We had 6 kids that could swim, tube, fish, kayak and ski to their hearts' content. The house was roomy and had plenty of space for all. George and Beth were gracious hosts. We enjoyed the decks, hot tub, and screened in porch. Such a beautiful setting. Would love to come back!

A nice house with everything we needed.

The photos on the website are accurate. Plenty of space for our group of 11 adults and 4 kids. The beach area is small but enough sand for the kids and the yard is large. Enjoyed swimming and fishing. Only negative was the numerous flies.

Spacious, well-equipped home on small lake, peaceful location & responsive owners

We had a nice few days here as a family, despite mainly rainy/gloomy weather. The lake is very small, but clear and lovely and great for swimming. The house is spacious, clean, and well-equipped with plenty of towels, kitchen supplies, etc. We appreciated the a/c on the hot days! We enjoyed the kayaks, the dock with the beautiful view, the grill (though it had not been cleaned prior to our arrival and needed a good scrubbing), and the peaceful, quiet surroundings. Owners were incredibly responsive and helpful. Downsides: There is no wi-fi and there is really not much to do nearby unless you drive 30 minutes into the small town of Walker. Water in the hot tub unfortunately had a terrible odor, making it not really usable. Wish there had been a short welcome/guide with information about things like where to put trash & recycling, things to do nearby, what owners would like us to do at check-out, etc.

Perfect!

Our family celebrated our parents 40th Anniversary! The house had everything we needed. The lake was great! It was shallow enough for kids to swim/play and for some to learn to kayak! We loved watching the eagles fish and perch close to shore. Kids fished off the dock and caught plenty! Beth and George were very attentive and made it a great week for our family! Great family get away

The house was great (clean, comfortable, awesome view on the lake), the owners were very helpful, and we had everything we needed while we were there (kitchen supplies, outdoor furniture, bedding, towels, etc). We had a bonfire every night, grilled, went kayaking, and hung out in the hot tub. There were fun board games and dvds, and they even told us we could pick apples from their apple trees in the front yard :)

Lovely place and welcoming owners

I spent a weekend here with my friends and we all loved this place. The place is well furnished, clean, and in a great location right on the lake. Beth and George were very friendly and super helpful. I wouldn't hesitate to rent this again.
