This was a great place to stay. It's close to some restaurants and it's hidden in a way that you don't have to worry about safety. The grounds are well kept and the welcoming committee (Earl the cat) was a great touch! I loved how simple the rules were to gain entry. The inside is pretty rustic, which isn't my style, but it was welcoming. My only note for the owners would be to invest in a robust dehumidifier. Otherwise, I would stay here again for sure.

The Barn is a rustic condo near downtown and was quaint and cute. We enjoyed our stay there. It has sleeping for 4 and would easily accommodate that number. A/C worked well, showers/toilets worked well. Everything was there to get us started, toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap, hand soap, water bottles, a couple snacks, books, DVDs, brochures on the area . While we didn't cook much - there were ample kitchen supplies on hand. Ample parking for 2 cars. Cute/cozy upstairs balcony. Host couldn't have been more responsive. Very easy to work with. We would stay again.

The barn was beautiful! There was so much thought into every detail. The location was great too. We were able to walk to Downtown easily. Would definitely recommend!

The unit was very clean. It was a nice quiet setting that had beautiful landscaping. The star of the property was Earl Grey the Cat! We would stay here again it was beautiful. It was so close to downtown that you could walk to restaurants or just a one or two minute drive to get around all the beautiful downtown restaurants.

A beautiful renovated barn with lots of amenities in a great location. Wish the fireplace was working during the nor Easter and the lighting was brighter but really all and all it was really a great find and would love to book it again

Fantastic Getaway

The Barn was wonderful! The kitchen had all we needed for our quick stay. The decor was unique and created a great atmosphere. The perfect place for visiting Summersville!

We really enjoyed our stay at the barn! The rooms were spacious and worked perfectly for my husband and I and our daughter. Everything from old English hunting pictures on the walls, to the refurbished rake towel rack, and barn door made these accommodations cute and interesting. We cooked a few meals in the barn and all cookware we needed was provided as well as any other essentials. We enjoyed the beauty of the property, the live oaks, but especially enjoyed the company of ‘Earl Grey’ the friendly kitty that roamed the property. If we are ever in town again, we will be back!

Great place to stay when visiting Charleston!

Our stay was so comfortable—we met our daughter for a little getaway and had such a great time. We loved the historic design touches and the welcoming living room. The gardens were such a beautiful surprise, and you really felt far from the city despite being minutes from downtown. The communication with the host was quick, and every room was very clean. Would definitely recommend to friends!

The barn was such a cool place on the grounds of a beautiful historical home. It was clean and very cutely decorated. Plenty of space for the 4 of us. I was a little nervous about the commute to downtown Charleston as we had a few days and evenings that we planned to spend there but it wasn’t bad at all. Very central to everything and quiet on the property.
