Little to no communication and the place was in disrepair
Our stay at this property was incredibly disappointing due to numerous issues that should have been addressed before our arrival.First, communication from the host was severely lacking. In past VRBO bookings, hosts have always reached out with check-in instructions ahead of time, but here, we didn’t hear anything until we were already at the location. This was frustrating and unprofessional.As for the property itself, it was poorly maintained. The only full bathroom had a toilet seat that was barely attached, making it uncomfortable and unsafe to use. The coffee maker leaked and was completely unusable. The refrigerator didn’t keep beverages cold—our water, beer, and orange juice were warm, and we couldn’t safely store meat. The trash bins were overflowing, and no trash bags were provided, making it impossible to keep the space clean.To make matters worse, one of my friends—who is a police officer and legally carries a weapon—was aggressively confronted by someone shouting profanities. This created an unsafe and uncomfortable environment that no guest should have to experience.Overall, between the host’s poor communication, the lack of basic amenities, and the unsettling confrontation, this stay was far from enjoyable. I would not recommend this rental.
