Great place for family getaways!

  • 5 of 5

The house was beautiful and full of amazingly built wooden furniture to give it a cozy cabin feel. The rooms were cute and beds were comfortable! The hot tub was new and very nice! Lots of games, utensils, basic essentials and even had a kayak for us to use. The two futons were actually extremely comfortable and easy to use! The master bathroom was incredible and shower was my favorite part. The only issue I had with this place was the yard was burnt yellow and full of weeds so we couldn't use it for outdoor activities that we planned. There were a few things missing like dishwashing soap and grill scrubber. Other than that, the place was very nice and great for a trip down to the lake!

Would Not Stay Again

  • 2 of 5

Cabin needs some TLC. Bring own supplies (T.P., laundry detergent, soap, kleenex, dish soap, dish sponge, paper towels). BBQ had layers of old food, so didn't use. No BBQ tools, either. Patio chairs had large holes in them, making them unusable. Hot tub had a rim of residue around it, and looked unkept (we didn't use this either). Bathroom towels are equivalent to old rags, we were nervous using them! Pic shows nice green grass in front, but is all weeds (front and back). Difficult time communicating with owner. First night we didn't stay in (and still haven't gotten a refund), b/c we couldn't get in contact with him. Sparing you the details, he should've had someone else available to communicate with renters, since he was unable to (due to no reception). Definitely thumbs down on this one!

Fabulous Time!!!!

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed the house! There was a BRAND NEW Hot tube, house was set up to meet all our needs. The kitchen was fully stocked with all the cooking ware we needed. Such a peaceful place! We did not use the fire pit out back as there was a burn warning in the area, but hoping that next trip we can use it.

We will defiantly be back, so many places just have the bare minimum. NOT this place everything we needed was there, even a kayak. The lake was a short walk away, which made for a excellent evening walk with the kids.

Thanks Again!

Inaccurate advertising but has potential

  • 3 of 5

I am not one to complain but I am going to be honest. The representation on VRBO is not accurate. First the hot tub was broken & we were not informed until after we paid for the cabin. It had been broken since May & our stay was in July. My suggestion is to remove it from the amenity list until it is fixed - it is false advertising. It was one of the main things we wanted in a cabin. The pictures showed a well manicured grassy lawn. It was nothing but weeds and the back yard weeds came up to our grandchildren's chests (they are 9 and 10). We couldn't use the fire pit for fear of starting a fire. The air intake right by the front door is disgusting - filthy. The dead bugs in the windows were everywhere. The cleaning fee charged should make sure everything is clean! The practice of having guests put towels in the washers until departure is not good. Not sure how long before the cleaning crew comes through but the towels all smelled moldy - we had to wash them before using them. I would suggest asking your guests to run a load of towels both in the washer and dryer before leaving - that is what we did. The dishwasher soap storage was broken so it would not close at all. You do not have a functioning can opener even the old fashioned one doesn't work. All the stove burners in the front didn't work properly - they probably just need a cleaning. This cabin has a lot of potential just needs some taking care of.

I will say that the cabin is in a good location - a 5 minute drive to Boulder Creek State Park which we went to 3 times to hang out on the beach. Plenty of places to walk & ride bikes. The neighbors were very nice.

Owner's Response: The hot tub had been ordered in May 2017, I was not informed at the time if purchase that the freight company required 3 deliveries to the Donnelly/McCall area. Therefore, I was with a understanding it could be delivered anytime. Finally, the hot tub was delivered in August 2017 & is currently working great! As far as the can opener, last check in the cabin there was a functioning can opener, it has now since been corrected and a new can opener was placed back in the cabin. We did call an appliance repair to check the gas stovetop out, the repair man state no issues with stove top & he reported that the guests must not know how to operate a gas stove top. As far as the towels, we did discuss this with the cleaning service,we do hope this improves. Cleaning service did report, the property was not left is proper order, from the guest this weekend and double normal cleaning time was required. Sincerely, Branden Beier

We had a great time.

  • 4 of 5

This was our second time at the Beir cabin. We had a great time in Cascade. Only complaint was futons not too comfortable to sleep on for adults. Next time we will bring a blow up matress.

Great house, communication lacking

  • 4 of 5

Loved the house!!! Great layout. Well supplied. Convenient location. Only problem I had was initial communication in setting up and reserving the house. Communication was slow, and awkward thru the app/emails. But again, absolutely LOVED the house and would definitely stay again.
