Welcome to Bear Hugz Lodge!! Designed as a family lodge, our mountain home is your home away from home! Everyone gets their own cozy space and privacy while still enjoying our huge open concept main room, complete with stone fireplace and farmhouse table for sharing those special family moments together. The 2 outdoor patios with fire pits are made for taking in the outdoor quiet and views that only living a mile-high in the mountains can provide. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do.
The space
Contemporary rustic decor throughout. Luxurious bedding and linens. Each bedroom has it's own private en-suite bath and electric fireplace inserts. No need to share your space or wait in line for the bathroom/ shower!
Our home boasts THREE Master Suites, one on each level. The first and second floor master suites have their own private viewing deck. The lower level master suite is a studio lock-off apartment with kitchenette and private entrance off the lower driveway.
Soaring ceilings, lots of windows for natural light and views. Solid wood floors throughout. A spiral staircase connects all three levels inside while outdoor decks are accessed on the upper and second floors.
Guest access
PARKING: Upper and lower parking decks are available for you to use. The upper parking is to the main entrance. It's off an access road that is shared with our neighbors. Please be a good neighbor! (3-4 Cars will fit here)
Lower parking deck can accommodate 3-4 cars as well in good weather.
There is absolutely no street parking allowed or parking that would block our neighbors ease of access.
You may also need to be prepared to shovel and have your tire chains on to be able to access the driveway depending on conditions. The lower driveway is steep and only accessible in good weather - it's not safe in ice or snow - you'll get trapped.
If you have more vehicles or can’t fit them in the parking space in front of the garage, you should be prepared to park the extra ones at the village (4 mi away) where there is free overnight garage parking.
Other things to note
SMOKING: ABSOLUTELY NO SMOKING inside or outside of the home
CHILDREN: Children should be under the constant supervision of a responsible adult due to the elevated decks and stairways .
PETS: There is a fee of $100 PER stay. (2 dog limit, please communicate with us about your pet(s)) *No cats*
We love pets so there are no breed restrictions but we do want to know a little about your four legged friends. If outside of the gated areas all pets must be kept on leash.
Pets are NOT allowed on any of the beds or furniture because of pet hair etc.
There is a nice dog room which has a door leading out to the deck and yard they can sleep in.
Please clean up after your pets both outside & in the house.
(Note that it's rare but we have had to charge for additional cleaning and damages.)
EXTRA GUESTS: PARTIES MUST BE APPROVED IN ADVANCE. NO EXCEPTIONS.

NOISE:
This is a VERY peaceful neighborhood and we ask that you please be mindful of the neighbors when outside of the house and on the decks and with regards to loud talking, music etc.. Especially before 8:00am and after 10:00pm.
THIS IS NOT A PARTY HOUSE. IF WE ARE CONTACTED A $1000 FINE WILL APPLY AND YOU BE ASKED TO LEAVE THE HOUSE FOR VIOLATING THE RULES. IF YOU THINK YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO FOLLOW THE RULES PLEASE DO NOT BOOK. THIS HOME IS LOCATED IN A VERY QUIET NEIGHBORHOOD AND THE ENTIRE COMMUNITY HAS STRICT RULES ON QUIET HOURS.
HOT TUB: Hot tub can only hold 4 persons. Do not add anything to the hot tub water. It can damage the filters and pump. No eating, drinking or children in the hot tub. The weight of the hot tub, water and 4 persons max is heavy! Do not try to exceed these limits as structural damage could occur.
FIREPLACE: The main fireplace is a wood burning fireplace. We have some of our wood available for you to use to get you started. You may need to provide your own depending on what supply is available on arrival. Be sure to keep the fire screens closed to prevent embers and burning in the home. Keep the fire vents open to prevent smoke damages. Only burn wood in the fireplace.
AIR CONDITIONING: The top floor has a powerful air conditioning unit that is used to cool the home when summer temperatures arrive. The master bedroom on the main floor has a separate wall unit. The second and third floor do not have vented air conditioning. Please note this is a mountain home and 99% of the time air conditioning is not needed to be comfortable. There are several days a year that this is an issue so please consider that if this may be an issue for you and your family.
NO NEED TO FEAR WINTER STORM POWER OUTAGE! WE HAVE AN AUTOMATIC BACKUP GENERATOR that will run the home in the event of power loss.
