Great stay and the best lakeside house! The views are very peaceful in the mornings and early evenings. The house is very comfortable and I love the deck. This is my second year staying and I will book next year again!

It really is such a peaceful spot! Download the birding app MERLIN (its free), you will be amazed at how many birds you hear and get identified in just a few minutes of recording! So peaceful and nature-infused!

This was our second stay with the same property owners in one of several homes they rent in the same cove. This time, we didn't need 3 bedrooms this time, so my wife and I booked this 2 bedroom (used one to put our bags in and the other to sleep in). This one is more updated than the other - both were cozy, but this one feels more modern. There's even an electric fireplace, which was nice to use when it got chilly in the evenings. We love the location bc it's only 20min or so to downtown Camden and to Walmart, Marshalls, Chic-fil-A, etc. Having the boat launch right next door is so convenient. And, if you don't want to use that one, there is a public launch right around the corner (maybe 2 mi or so and you don't have to get back on the main road to get there).Hosts have always been nice, responsive, and accommodating. We'd definitely stay again!

This house was the perfect getaway for the money. It had everything you could ever need—plenty of parking for two pontoon trailers, a nice boat ramp and dock, and clear water. Having gas, food, and supplies right next door was a huge plus. Overall, for a small group getaway, I highly recommend it!

They obviously caught a lotta fish. There is no such thing as a special lakehouse if the fish aren't biting! Til next time!

The way I understood and read this was it was the other Location to the Left.No Kayaks like it said, the Pier was not close.Just not to Thrilled with the Stay.

Guest saw we had multiple lakehouses adjacent to one another, visited each listing page, and then accidently booked the wrong cottage. A review like this should never be allowed as it is not the Host's fault if a guest reserves the wrong vrbo? For clarity, this cottage sits about 75 yards off the lake, still with sweeping, unobstructed, long-range views over the water to the sunset, however, this guest wanted to be "lake adjacent" and just could not recover from his mistake. We have PLENTY of water toys for each cottage to have one kayak and one paddleboard. For anyone that read this far, call your host if you are unhappy with anything, including a mistake you made. This guest never reached out, not during or after their stay :(

Great week at the lake

It was HOT but thankfully the air conditioning was cool! Had a great time relaxing and fishing early in the morning. Spent the week relaxing and enjoying the views. Second stay here and it was great.

Love returning visitors! And for a full week, you can always find something to keep you busy and also relaxed. It is not a big cottage rental on Lake Wateree so the AC is more than adequate, ha!

We had a lovely relaxing stay. The place was more than adequate. The wraparound porch was very nice to sit out on even though my husband caught the fish. He had a while playing with his fish and stuff.

This location exceeded my expectations. The cleanliness and organization upon arrival were impressive. The atmosphere was peaceful and relaxing. I strongly recommend this location. The host's response time to my questions was exceptional.

What a kind review! So happy our location exceeded your expectations! Overlooking Lake Wateree is pretty special, but being on the sunset side of Camden is key, in a cove is key and near town and a Dollar General is key and we try to make that clear in our description, but everyone seems happy with our location, end of the road privacy and especially being in a cove!!! Oh, and access to a dock and boat ramp! Til next time!

Beautiful Lake Wateree house!

The property was wonderful!!! The view was amazing of the lake. We enjoyed relaxing on the large covered porch which over looked the lake. Quiet peaceful setting. The house was very comfortable and quaint. We will be back!

Clean house and they had everything you could ever need! The views were amazing! If I could give 10 stars I would! Will be back for sure! Host was fast to respond when I had a question! Will tell all family to stay when the go out to visit the family!

Very comfortable, clean, nice view. Only wish was some kind of seating down at the lake without having to haul chairs. 100 yards to the water. Private dock would make this place perfect.

Sadly, we haven't kept the furniture down by the water since the lake rose up from Helene to your doorstep and took all the furniture with it :( Happy it was super clean and had a nice view! For clarity, there is a shared boat ramp and a shared dock you can use right next door!

Great little spot for a getaway

Everything was great. Enjoyed relaxing on the deck and dock. The community landing was perfect for my boat. Very convenient to Camden if you need to make a quick trip to town. Communication was great and the property is very well maintained. Will definitely be back.

Beautiful views

We were in town for a fishing tournament, this was so convenient to landing and had plenty of on site parking for boat! Our friends rented home next door and this was a perfect spot for us! The washer/dryer in rental was nice, the ceiling fans throughout was nice and we loved all the updates in home! We hope to return one day

Thanks so much for the kind review! So happy you found a lakehouse that allowed your friends to stay next door. We have 4 side by side lakehouses in case anyone is reading this! Two 2 bedrooms, a 3 bedroom and a 4 bedroom, 6000 sq ft estate rental. Come stay and grow your friendbase!

Peaceful, calm and quiet

This is the perfect property. Tucked back a few yards from the shore, but the views are magnificent! Putting the boat in right next to the house and docking right in front of the house was wonderful. No loud neighbors, no noise, just a quiet getaway. Will be back.

3 day weekend trip

Great little house about 100 yrs from the lake. Able to dock the boat and come and go all day. Clean, modern and comfortable. Wonderful full windows with lake views and a great wrap around porch with rocking chairs, table and loungers. Thoroughly enjoyed the trip. Will be back!
