About Kathy Andreasen
A local family that enjoys the ski house many weekends in the winter. We ski and Sunday River and enjoy X-country and snow shoeing right out the back door.
Kathy Andreasen purchased this House in 2011
Why Kathy Andreasen chose Bethel
This is a beautiful house. Coziness of a log cabin feel with the luxury and conveniences of new(ish) construction. Set up high on the multi acre lot it has views of mountains and Sunday River and is nicely nestled in the woods. Bright, open, high ceilings, with new furniture and beds.. We love to come up and ski - downhill and cross-country - snowshoe right out the backyard, split wood, walk, and relax.
What makes this House unique
River access, close to ski hill, private and wooded, top of the line furnishings, linens, etc, fully equipped kitchen, large sunny deck with views, close to many lakes for swimming and trails for hiking.

Kathy has a beautiful cabin. Nice location, clean and cozy. We felt right at home. We were able to relax. It’s a quiet neighborhood, close to town. Just perfect. Kathy was very nice and communication was excellent. Thanks again Kathy. The Garron’s
Great house and nice quite location
We really enjoyed our stay in the house. The house was well furnished and plenty of room for our entire family. I would definitely recommend if you are looking for plenty of room and nice quite surroundings. I would suggest bringing your own board game if your family enjoys that type of activity. We did enjoy the ping pong table, darts and large selection of movies.
MacDonald family reunion.
Fantastic place to stay. All 10 of us felt right at home. The house had everything we needed and more. We had plenty of room and the home was beautiful. Really enjoyed the ping pong table, darts and fire pit. Conveniently located to Grafton state park, tubing, and Frenchman's hole. This home had everything we needed for a great time. Thanks for sharing your home with us.
So delighted to hear that you had a great time!!! Thank you for your compliments on the house. We love it as a base for all the great hiking at nearby Grafton Notch, the Presidential range, and the White Mountains. Glad you enjoyed Maine and the mountains!
Great family retreat
Our family of 6 thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cabin is very cozy. There was lots to do in the area. We did a lot of driving around but also did some relaxing at the cabin. It took a little adjusting to live without central conditioning for a few days. The temperature was in the upper 80’s and low 90’s. It was pretty warm during the days in the cabin but cooled down some in the evenings with the fans on. It was a memorable vacation for us. We’d love to stay here again.
Our summer trip to western Maine
We were very pleased with this property. It had everything we needed and more. We had four adults, two teens and a small dog on this trip and this home was perfect for our needs.
Other than changing a battery on a smoke detector, there was zero issues with the home.
We used it as our base of operations for trips to Portland, Old Orchard Beach, Portland Head Light, Mt. Washington, Grafton Notch State Park and more.
It was always so nice to return to the cabin to relax and recharge for our next adventure.
We loved how the home was furnished and decorated. Our friends took many pictures and measurements as they are thinking of building one on one their water front lots in northern WI.
Although it was in the 90’s while we were there, the house was comfortable without AC, as the home has great fans and circulation.
All in all, this was a great find for anyone willing to enjoy the summer vacation in western Maine
Good for the winter months!
Very close to Grafton Notch park - with lovely hikes like - Screw Auger Falls and Step Falls (easy), or for a bigger challenge hiked to Table Rock for breathtaking views . Lots of restaurants nearby (Sunday River Brewing Company, Suds Pub, Rooster's Roadhouse, Funky Red barn - to name a few). For groceries, The Good Food Store has most everything you need, but there is also a Hannaford in Bethel and several other great gourmet food shops (including prepared foods).
