This house shares river access and is a short walk from penny arcades, a zip line, shops, bars and restaurants in downtown Manitou Springs. The cabin itself has its own deck just outside the dining area and also has access to the wonderful river behind.The entire home has been remodeled with a new kitchen all new electrical, flooring and new bathrooms.Too tired to cook, no problem! A few blocks walk and you are right in the middle of town with all sorts of food and beverage choices not to mention great shopping and a penny arcade. This property is in a perfect location. Close enough so that it’s an easy walk to all of the go-to places in Manitou, and just far enough away that you enjoy a nice quiet evening.
loved the location of the property being so close to downtown and walkable to the incline. plenty of room for multiple guests. parking is a little tight - but workable.
It was so cute and walkable to the downtown area. So amazing! The views were incredible and the washer/dryer came in handy with all the hiking we did and the great weather! Thank you so much will be back with the doggos

Misleading as the pictures are not accurate Was not aware that you shared the outside property with other cabins until you got there was under the impression it was all just the guests in our cabin property. Also the furniture was very uncomfortable The piece of furniture in the living room was horrible The king size bed was like 15 inches off the floor Games all had missing pieces

We're sorry to hear that the cabin did not fully meet your expectations. We do want to clarify a few points for future guests. The outdoor riverfront area is a shared space with the other cabins on the property, and this is noted in both the listing description and photos. Many guests enjoy the opportunity to relax by the creek while still having their own private cabin accommodations.
Regarding the furnishings, comfort can be very subjective. The sofa is a standard residential couch that we personally use and find quite comfortable, and the king bed is on a standard bed frame. That said, we understand that individual preferences vary and appreciate hearing your perspective.
Thank you for letting us know about the games. We were not aware that some pieces were missing and will be checking and replacing any incomplete games for future guests.

The check-in process was easy and the host communication was clear and timely. The property was right off the main thoroughfare - parking was quite tight, but provided as described. The home was older with upgrades throughout. All the amenities were provided and check-out was a breeze. Stairs to the second floor bedroom and bathroom were steep, as is common in older homes. I found it a little odd that walls in both bathrooms were open to the bedrooms, but all older homes have some quirkiness. The stream in the backyard was so soothing to hear - one of my favorite relaxing sounds. The beds were quite comfortable. At the time we stayed, the property was for sale, which included the two cabins in the backyard. Under current ownership, we have only positive reviews! This was a great location to be outside Colorado Springs, but still close to everything. Manitou Springs is a charming area.
Couldn't ask for a better location. Right in town so didn't have to worry about parking and walked to coffee, shops, and dinner every night. Home had everything we were needing for the weekend. No complaints!
Most everything was excellent. Really, there were 2 drawbacks. 1 was that the river area hangout spot is not part of the rental. It's right behind another cabin on the property. I think that TECHNICALLY we could have hung out there, but it seemed odd since it was very close to someone else. And the bathrooms are open to the rest of the house. VERY IMPORTANT missed detail. So, you can hear everything that goes on. No privacy. But we had a GREAT time in downtown Manitou Springs. We didn't have to drive anywhere to get to where we wanted to go. I would recommend this spot with those couple of caveats.
Perfect location, very clean, had everything we needed. Comfy beds and couch!

Our family stayed for two nights and really enjoyed it. The house is in a great location- we were able to walk everywhere and skip the trouble of paid parking lots!
We had such a great stay. We were impressed with how everything is within walking distance from the house. It was everything our family needed for our stay and we will definitely book again our next stay in Colorado!
After Seth had retired from going to three Olympic games, we decided that we had more than sports and a love of fencing in common. Turns out, Seth and I have a passion for homes. We bought this home as a project to work on together after we had already completely remodeled another home. Turns out, remodeling a home and two cabins built in 1891 is a whole new level of difficult. But, we did it and this home is our labor of love!!We do hope you enjoy our recently finished product!
Why they chose this property
Both Seth and I LOVE Manitou Springs! Manitou is such a wonderful little town that really does a great job of providing fun activities and festivals year round. From Arts Festivals, to Marathons, to Coffin Races Manitou Springs is a happening place year round. What's more, we took one look at the creek and just how relaxing it was to sit and hear the sound of the water and enjoy the huge trees overhead while also being in the middle of town and we were all in!

It really is a special treat to be within walking distance to everything and yet feel as though you can get away from it all with just a short walk back to your home away from home.
