Close to Athens Ohio. You’ll love my place because of the views, the peace, the fishing, the relaxation. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and families (with kids). My place is also part of the Windy 9 for the Motorcycle enthusiasts or those who just want to enjoy some scenic rides through the countryside.

The downstairs bedroom has a queen size bed and there are three additional beds in the loft upstairs. This is a cozy little place to relax and enjoy the peace and relaxation.

Please note this is a cabin in the country. We try very hard to keep everything fresh. clean and comfortable. You will experience a country setting which includes often (not promised) seeing wildlife. We also have other country aspects. This is a small cabin in the country and bugs do get into the cabin at times. If this is an issue for you please ask about them before booking. We work very hard to minimize this issue but at certain times of the year they can be a nuisance. If you are looking for a pristine place to go this may not be the option for you. If you are looking for a super relaxing cabin and place to escape we feel this is an excellent option. We would love to have you as guests but want to make sure you are comfortable. Please don't hesitate to ask questions. We will answer as honest and accurate as possible. We want you to enjoy the trip you are planning and have a wonderful time whether it is with open season or elsewhere.

This is a no frills cabin (except for the hot tub :) as reflected in the price. This means you will need to bring things like hand soap, all personal items, towels for the hot tub...etc. One bath towel and wash cloth is provided for each guest. If you want extra please bring some with you.

Lake Dow is a short 15 minute drive. Lake has kayaks, paddleboat, Pontoon boats, a beach, picnic area, fishing and more to enjoy.

My husband and I stayed here during our trip to Hocking Hills. We loved our stay! It was a great place to come back to after our days of exploration. Especially loved the hot tub and the peaceful setting! If you want to unplug and enjoy nature this is a wonderful spot to do that! The home was clean, comfy and had mostly everything we needed. Make sure you bring what you need because there isn't a store nearby for miles other than a small "party" store, but that's part of the charm and being in the middle of the woods. We would definitely stay here again.

My best friend and I met up for a weekend and stayed here for four nights total. We loved the space inside and out, saw a shooting star from the hot tub, and took in the secluded peace and quiet far from traffic, work and obligations. The only thing I’d note is that you should make sure to screenshot your directions and map as you will likely lose service on the way in, and it is definitely off the beaten path but well worth it!

We stayed for three days Sept. 9,10,11. It was very relaxing. Fishing was great! Caught bluegill and large mouth bass. Loved star gazing. We be back!

We loved our stay! The beginning of our stay was an incredible downpour but it all worked out OK and Mark let us extend our trip by a day so we could enjoy the weather and go hiking! The views are beautiful from the cabin and it is overall very quiet without much noticeable traffic or even sounds from neighbors. If we are ever in the area again for vacation, we would book here again!

The cabin was a perfect getaway for our family during Family Weekend at OU. We enjoyed sitting by the pond with our dog, smores on the campfire, and hanging out in the hot tub. We would like to say that the weekend went off without a hitch, but we did have one snafu. We arrived late on a Friday and when we arose on Saturday morning found that one of our tires was flat. To top it off, the spare tire was also deflated. I reached out to the owner and within 30-45 minutes someone was there to help us pump up the spare. The rest of the weekend went as planned. We are looking forward to another visit soon.

The house was clean. There was a strong straw smell through out the house. The beds were not comfortable to me. We decided to go home early for a few reasons but the comfort of the beds played a big part of the reason.

Overall it was great. There were no kitchen towels and a sponge for dishes, so we went to family dollar to get that. One of the decking boards outback is loose and it coming up. The quietness was great and we had a great time for our 35th anniversary. Thank you.

This was a relaxing getaway cabin, the host gave detailed instructions for checking in and their house rules. The hot tub and grill were amazing, plenty of kitchen equipment and supplies. We only needed one bed for our stay, which was good because the 3 beds upstairs had ladybugs all over them, which is understandable for a cabin the in late Winter. The pond was easy to access and we liked how there were movies available to watch!

Had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Very accurate description about the bugs- lots of the Asian lady beetles, but there was a vacuum and broom to keep up with them. Mark was very helpful with directions- there was flooding in surrounding areas, and he was patient while giving me good directions. Very responsive to messages.

We loved the property! The cabin was wonderful! The trip to the cabin was a little rough with a 2 wheel drive vehicle but just because it had rain a lot prior! Once there we enjoyed our stay more than anything! We relaxed which is just what we needed! We loved the hot tub! The view off the back deck was breathtaking! The whole property was gorgeous!! The booking site never sent our code to get in but I called Mark & he was so helpful & courteous! We enjoyed the decor & the pictures throughout the cabin! This was a birthday gift to my husband & was exactly what we needed! Peace quiet & relaxation!
