Location was excellent. You can walk to many of the prime spots in and around midtown.The home itself is in great condition and was a comfortable experience overall. Note that you have to climb up three flights of stairs.

Apartment location is good - between center park and all empire state building. 10 minutes away from Times square.apartment nice, but dusty.the building is pretty old and it does not have elevator. so if you are traveling with infants or small children, prepare to move stroller by yourself.

Great communication with property manager. Easy to get to shows on broadway and 42nd St subway stop was only a few blocks away. Apartment was in great condition and well maintained. A/C worked great as it was very hot during our stay. It is a third floor walk up so noting that for anyone that may have issues with a few flights of stairs. I would happily rent this property again for future stays in the city.

Located on ā€œrestaurant streetā€ - many restaurants to choose! One block away is Target and another direction is my favorite Dunkin Donuts and of course - Starbucks! Walking distance to Time Square, Rockfeller Center, Nintendo Store and famous Ichiran Ramen! Not sure about subway since we traveled by Uber. Communication is extremely responsive and efficient. Some toilet papers and towels are provided. No K cup coffee machine, but coffee maker is available. I love Brita water filter is available! Bed and pillows are comfortable as well (very important to me). Hot water does take longer, but still working fine. Since location is convenient, of course comes with the noise. The noise does stay until 2 AM, sometimes longer. However, if you donā€™t mind the noise/the smell of cooking downstair/the weed smoking from the neighbors, this is a very great location! I will still choose this place if I ever visit NY again.

Had a great time in NY. First time visiting NY. Loved this 2 BR/2 Bath apartment. Location was awesome and close to areas we visited. Host was awesome at communicating with me from the start to the end of our trip! Apartment had everything we needed and more! Looking forward to future visits.

Great location and well appointed apartment

Really excellent location and a roomy, well appointed apartment, ideal for a week's stay in NYC. Two bedrooms, two bathrooms and the flexibility of a sofa bed were great. Kitchen was adequately equipped. It was very cold in NYC that week (even snowed), but the apartment was warm although we did have some challenges getting hot water from the vanities (the showers were fine). Overall a grat place to stay and we would recommend it.

Amazing value steps away from Times Square

The apartment was exactly as described, in an amazing location, very clean and comfortable, and a great value compared to other rentals in the area. The only downside was that the apartment is on the 3rd floor with no elevator and I had about 60 pounds of luggage to haul up there, so you might not want to book this property if that's going to be a problem for you.

Location on map is not correct

The description of the property says Hellā€™s Kitchen but the marker on the map is in midtown at 24th Street. The actual location is 24 blocks north-east in a much worse neighborhood. We were disappointed in the location when we showed up. We even had dinner reservations set in the neighbor where it is marked on the map.

Amazing location - better then where it was on the VRBO map!

Great place and the location was even more amazing.Really enjoyed having 2 bedrooms and 2 baths. Very convenient to get ready. I am sure the hot water has been fixed in the front bathroom, that was the only downfall on the stay.We ended up at the Dim Sum and Italian restaurants that were steps away from your door! Be sure to get the soup dumplings at the first and the Lemon dessert at the Italian place - it was beautiful and delicious.

Loved Restaurant Row

The place was awesome!! It was the perfect location and felt very safe! We were a 6 min walk to time square which made a lot of things easier and we were able to get around town faster. Being on Restaurant Row was pretty cool and the amount of food options were amazing!! The only downfall to our stay was the couch in the photos didnā€™t match the couch that we had. Other than that everything was great and we would definitely recommend and would stay here again!!! The communication was on point with the property manager!!

Great location

Check in instructions were easy to follow. The location and cleanliness was exactly as advertised. However, the water pressure and hot water did not meet expectations. It took over 5 mins for the hot water to start flowing. In addition, there was trash in the lobby which we could smell in our bathroom (third floor). We notified the owner regarding the trash issue and it was removed quickly. However, I could still smell the trash when walking up to my room. They need to keep the trash outside the building or move the location.

A real NYC experience

This rental is right in the heart of the City. Tons of eating choices and easy walking distance to Times Square, where we used hop on hop off bus to get around. It was really great! Only issue was noise all through the nights with trash trucks, delivery trucks and other truck all night long! Hard to fall asleep and stay asleep. I chalked it up to the experience. But it was hard

Nice Property BUTā€¦

This property was nice and location was great, BUT there was confusion from the very beginning. Location was advertised in Chelsea but after booking we were advised that itā€™s located in Hells Kitchen. We chalked it up because the location was still great. Upon check-in, we were without heat for the first two nights, with outside temps below freezing (we visited in Jan). The host was very responsive but it took two days to address the issue. We were also without internet for the first two days as well. While the host was responsive during our stay, once the conversation turned to discussing compensation for two days out of a six day visit, she all of sudden stopped responding. We were very patient and understanding of these issues but felt that a fair compensation for our troubles was warranted but it was brushed aside from this host after our stay was completed. We were prepared to leave a positive review and messaged the host several times after our stay to try to resolve, but all were left unanswered.

Never again!

Unfortunately, our experience with this rental was very disappointing. We arrived at this rental in NYC late at night only to discover there was no power in the unitā€”no lights, no AC, nothing. Despite repeatedly contacting the host, she kept saying, ā€œgive me a few more minutes,ā€ but nothing was ever resolved. She did not offer any alternative accommodation or help us find another place to stay. We were left stranded in the middle of the night with nowhere to go in an unfamiliar city.The host stopped responding and never followed up or checked in, nor any guidance for an alternative solution. She also initially refused to issue a refund, forcing us to go through VRBO customer service just to get basic support. This was one of the most stressful and unacceptable travel experiences weā€™ve had. We ended up having to book a last-minute hotel. Vrbo was able to accommodate us - since there was no communication from the host to refund us. After having to dispute the charge on my credit card, the host finally had no other option than to refund us 3 weeks later . Do not trust this hostā€”they are unprofessional , unreliable , unhelpful, and left us in a dangerous situation.Do yourself a favor and avoid this listing at all costs
