Attractive condo, but important issuesThe condo is nicely decorated with updated kitchen/bathrooms, but we would have booked elsewhere had we known the following:BAD COOLING CREATED SAFETY ISSUE Cooling was inadequate. The only device provided was a Lasko “Movable Air Heater” in fan mode, not a dedicated room-cooling fan. With windows closed it reached 82F during the day; at night it was still about 76F even with windows/sliding door open. Fan was offered later. BEAR WARNING After booking, the host texted 1st floor guests to keep bedroom windows/sliding doors closed while sleeping because of bears. Unit 265 is a 1st floor, found out when we got there. Because of the heat, we still had to sleep with everything open, creating bear concerns, traffic noise, and loss of privacy because bedroom doors/window coverings also had to stay open for airflow. Not good for ppl w/asthma.NO CONSTRUCTION WARNING Sundance pool/spa had heavy construction, torn-up concrete, dust/debris on the deck and dirt/debris in the pool. The listing says “community pool” and there was no property map showing pools/spas/BBQs. We found a second pool by searching ourselves. The host said there were 4 pools, while The Summit’s information shows 2 pools and 2 spa complexes. The BBQ we found was blocked by construction equipment and not usable. No bbq at condo itself.HOST DENIED CONSTRUCTION Most concerning, after we sent photos, the host said there was “no construction taking place on any of the pools”.
