Sunny Hale A-1 at Plantation Hale in the Coconut Marketplace! Bright and sunny living room with wonderful ocean breezes come through this unit! A short walking distance to the BEACH and gorgeous Beach Path!

1 bed, 1 bath condominium with full kitchen located in the A Building. Close to parking and the front desk and facing opposite from the Kuhio Hwy side of the building. Lush greenery surrounds the building.

Plantation Hale has 3 beautiful outdoor pools, 2 whirlpool spas, BBQ areas, shuffleboard and onsite parking. Lots of restaurants and shops in the area with the ocean and beach path only a very short walking distance away!!

This unit sleeps up to 6 guests, 1 queen and 1 double XL beds in bedroom and a queen sofa sleeper, complete with a flat screen TV in living room and a TV in the bedroom. We provide you with all the linens and towels for the condo. The kitchen is fully equipped for you to make meals! This condo also has AC, complementary Wi-Fi, and a laundry room on site!

Plantation Hale is an Old Hawaiian Style Budget Resort, a great family friendly complex, with three pools and two hot tubs available for guests! There are several outdoor BBQ areas for you to grill and relax outdoors! The front desk staff and concierge are also available for your convenience.

Plantation Hale is located less than a block from the beach and right next to the Coconut Marketplace where you can shop and find some good places to eat! This complex is just a short drive from Safeway, Foodland, Long’s Drugs, Starbucks, and more! Guests love the central location of this complex as its right between the North and South shores, making it easy to explore the island!

A favorite spot only two minutes away, is the Wailua River for kayaking, standup paddleboarding and boating to Fern Grotto and Secret Falls! You don't want to miss the Smith Family Luau and Show on Kauai!

A quick 5 minute drive takes you to Lydgate Park for lifeguarded swimming with a lagoon for small children to enjoy the ocean or for anyone to snorkel! Also a playground for kids to enjoy. Beach chairs and a cooler are provided.

Centrally located only 5 miles from the Lihue Airport. It's easy to visit both the North Shore and the Napali Coast, along with the East Coast and Waimea Canyon along with all the fun in between! Equally convenient in being next to the Coconut Marketplace for some easy shopping and dining! Only a short walk to a Safeway and a Starbucks.

The kitchen was fully equipped but the missing cabinet door looked like it had been ripped off and there were a couple of places where it looked like water damage that had not been repaired. The bedroom was good and the beds were very comfortable. We loved having the shops nearby and a deli for meals. In all, our stay was a wonderful vacation.

My biggest problem, and I did not bring this up to the property manager, were cockroach’s. When I spend thousands of dollars for my family to stay in Hawaii I did not think I would ever be dealing with cockroach’s. They were in the bathroom, kitchen, and bedroom. I have never felt so dirty. I would say that this was not what we expected when we booked the property. The condition of the property was sub par and dirty. A cabinet in the kitchen was missing a door, hair found in the bathroom sink, and the floor was dirty. They ask you to take off your shoes when you enter the condo which we do not have a problem with as we have the same habits in our own home. Unfortunately the floor is so dirty it will make the bottoms of your feet very dirty very quickly. The toilet did not work, and I had to manually flush the toilet for two days until they had someone come fix the handle. Overall I would not stay here again and hope they invest in their property and fix the glaring problems.

Great location !!

We were looking for something that had easy access all over the island. This unit did not disappoint. The shops were nearby and easy to jump on main road to hit all our adventures. The pool and hot tubs were amazing after a day of hiking and snorkeling. Very glad we stayed here and would definitely do it again.

This was a pleasant enough stay but dated. The toilet didn’t work and the shower was iffy but there was good WiFi and television. The kitchen was fairly well stocked with dishes and cookware. All in all, it was a reasonable, quiet, safe place to stay in walking distance of good shopping and the beach. I would go back.

Disappointed for the price I paid.

The condo was not at all what I had expected, the unit was very dated and in disrepair. A lot of small things that could easily be corrected, things like missing towel bar, shower faucet handle just flopping around. The mini blind in the living room was pretty gross, rusty, dirty. The drapes were super wonky to open and close. Someone had what looked like stapled an extension cord to the ceiling, which was half falling down. The owners of this unit need to spend some time and effort updating, cleaning and repairing this room. I have stayed in places 100 times better than this for roughly the same amount. I won’t be staying here again.

Exactly as expected.

Property was clean, and exactly as expected for the price range. Well situated, easy to get anywhere on island from here. Pool area also clean.

Wish there was a vacuum to help keep the sand cleaned up. The dresser drawers were dirty and could have been used since my luggage didn’t arrive on time and had to buy some new clothes.

Great stay

Location of the complex was exactly what we were looking for and very clean. Although the specific condo was not on the highway side of the building it was facing the main entrance to the coconut market place. The unit included all the items we needed. The unit was older and could use some updates however that did not cause a problem for us.

groot appartement met goede ligging

Toen we aankwamen was ons appartement wegens niet voorziene omstandigheden nog niet volledig schoongemaakt. De host was op dat moment goed bereikbaar en heeft het keurig opgelost. Het is een groot appartement met een praktische badkamer en keuken. De bedden zijn redelijk hard. De ligging is goed; vlakbij het winkelcentrum en de zee.

Perfect for us!

The location was nice and easy access to tourist places. It was clean and the pools were well kept. It was nice to have the ACs in the rooms to reduce humidity. I would easily go back. Plus the added bonus of the house having boogie boards and beach chairs for use.

Beau condo idéalement situé

Situé au centre de l'ile de Kauai, ce condo est idéalement situé afin de pouvoir visiter autant le nord que le sud de l'ile. Il était fonctionnel, propre, confortable et bien équipé. Les piscines et BBQ sur le site furent aussi très appréciés. L'équipement fourni (chaises et glacière) pour la plage était aussi un gros avantage. Excellente communication avec l'hôte que a toujours répondu très rapidement à nos demandes. Seul petit bémol, il n'y avait aucun linge pour essuyer la vaisselle, aucune mitaine pour le four, pas de nappe ou napperon pour la table.

Goof for short stays

Good accommodation for a short stay. Kitchen was well equipped, cleanliness ok. There were plenty of fresh towels and the beds were comfortable. However, the wifi signal left a lot to be desired.

Great location!

Great location! Its very convenient that its about 10 minutes away from the airport and car rental (as we had many issues with our car and had to keep returning to the car rental place). Also, because we toured the whole island, plantation hale is about as central as you can get in kauai. And the coconut market place along with many cute shops within walking distance is an added bonus. Parking was also included and was literally steps from the front door. The decor and furniture were quite outdated, however, but it had everything we needed (including beach supplies!) There were 2 ac's that kept us nice and cool. Most importantly, our host was very quick to respond! Even gave us a call to make sure we got everything we needed. Thank you for a great stay!

Nice location

This property is conveniently located near a market place with restaurants and a ABC store in case you do not have a vehicle. Cabinets and drawer could use a little work, but other than that, my husband and i enjoyed our stay very much!

We had a great stay, good support from our contact. Property a little dated, but they are working on updating. Hot tubs not working the first night, over-chemical’d the second night. We enjoyed our stay!

My Stay1/24

This unit needs some work. Placing a beautiful granite counter top on cabinets that are well over 50 years old id ridiculous. Some of the kitchen drawers are in need of repair. There are no potholders in the kitchen which make it difficult to use the oven, also, no dish towels. Severe lack of eating utensils. The counter top in the bathroom is cracked and should never have been installed in such condition. The windows in kitchen and adjoining room are filthy and in disrepair. Also, the unit has a cockroach problem.
