Come relax and enjoy yourself at our peaceful, cozy 3-bedroom cabin on Neebish Island. Nestled on 20 acres in a picturesque, mature woods, you'll find yourself surrounded by total serenity.

Enjoy the ambiance of our campfire area, cook on the gas grill and sit back and relax on the front porch. Once daylight turns to nightfall, go for a night ride to see the Milky Way and if you're lucky, maybe the Northern Lights. Not to worry if you find yourself up past your bedtime, the blackout curtains will help you sleep in. The cozy interior features 1 queen bed and 3 full beds, ensuring a pleasant stay for all guests. With amenities like heating, WiFi, and a washer and dryer, you'll have everything you need for an excellent vacation.

The horseshoe driveway offers easy parking for your snowmobile, boat, ATV or golf cart trailer.
The public boat launch is just 1/4 mile away where you can put your boat in the water and spend the day on the St. Mary's River.

If you choose to explore the Eastern UP, the Soo Locks are a must see and they are only 20 miles away. There are so many things to see and do in the U.P., we have recommendations in our welcome book to give you some ideas.

We do offer campfire wood for purchase right at the end of the drive for your convenience.

This place is absolutely perfect! All of the little touches that make the cabin feel like home were very thoughtful. I am looking forward to coming back! So glad we could bring the dog! Oh and the best place to watch the freighters!!! Thanks so much for the perfect spot!

The cabin had all the wow factors you could ask for. Peace and quiet, beautiful log cabin, great firepit area, critters up close you got to watch, ships to watch go by within a real short distance and owner's who made us feel like friends. So good a stay our son and grandkids asked if we could do it again every year! Thanks for making our vacation wonderful!

The cabin was absolutely amazing!!! The minute you walked in, you felt right at home. It smelled good, kitchen had everything you needed, the location was amazing and the property was beautiful. Joyce and Greg have done an incredible job with this cabin..and the communication with them during our stay was fabulous. Cant wait to visit again

Awesome Cabin

It was a joy staying at this quant cabin. Exceeded our expectations. If you want quiet tranquility, this is the place for you. Seeing and hearing the wildlife while eating dinner in an enclosed porch was special.

The cabin is absolutely beautiful and clean. The hosts have thought of everything in the way of the comforts of home. Fall is beautiful on the island and the cabin has an area to sit and enjoy a campfire or just the sounds of nature. The hosts were so friendly and accomodating. We will definitely be back.

Neebish Hideaway

Most beautiful cabin in a lovely setting! Extremely well decorated. Didn’t want for anything. Hosts Joyce and Greg very helpful in taking us to the different freighter viewing sites on the island. Definitely plan to return.

We had a fantastic stay at the Bear’s Den for Labor Day week/end 2025. The owners have done a wonderful job of making this a fantastic up north getaway in the woods. It was so peaceful and relaxing while also having all you need in terms of modern amenities. There were 7 of us plus a dog and we were all cozy and comfortable. You need to plan around the ferry for coming and going but we thought that added to the adventure and the kids loved it. Highly recommend. My parents already want to come back for a peaceful trip on their own.

We had an amazing time at Bear's Den Cabin! Joyce and Greg were terrific hosts, and the accommodations exceeded our expectations in every possible way. We arrived after dark, but were so impressed to see the grounds of the property nicely lit so we could find our way. Flowers, a personal welcome card, and snacks greeted us on the dining room table. Every corner of the cabin was spotlessly clean. The hosts have thought of every need that a guest might have: plenty of towels were provided, the kitchen was well-appointed, and beds were clean and comfortable. A record player was a nice touch in the living room in addition to the TV and DVD player. Our Welsh Terrier, Harriet, also had a good time -- they even left her a dog biscuit! We felt so well cared for by Joyce and Greg. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again, and will recommend this cabin to any friends who visit the area.

We had everything we needed with this property for a long weekend away. As other guests have mentioned, the cabin was incredibly clean and provided the essentials, plus some lovely welcome treats. We very much appreciated the communication in advance regarding access to the property and the ferry schedule, as we were visiting during the end of the shoulder season, but before the chaos of summer really began. This cabin was the perfect size for two parents, three young kids and a dog to relax, take in some evening strolls and fish. Thank you!
