This 2BD architecturally modern, spacious and light filled home is built on a historic homestead site perched above the Sandy River. Close to Mt Hood Natl. Park & only 45 minutes from the Portland Airport- Enjoy outstanding skiing, mountain biking, hiking, tennis, golf and other outdoor adventures without sacrificing modern luxury and comfort. Or cozy at home in peace. EXPAND to 3 BEDROOMS by adding the extra KING SUITE UPSTAIRS depending on your party size for an additional $95 per night.
The space
Enjoy deep relaxation and immersion in nature bathed in light in this unique and memorable home. Nestled in the trees overlooking the Sandy River, this home has it all. Plus, for our active guests, some of the best hiking trails and outdoor adventure is mere minutes away on Mt Hood.
This newly built home is constructed with green and energy efficient materials in addition to reclaimed wood (cedar) from the original historic family homestead which is incorporated through out the house as an added homage to the original family home.

The main house includes the Secured Garage, Lower Level Master Suite, (King Bed, double sinks, walk in closet, Soaking Tub and Shower) Laundry Room, Powder Room, Kitchen, Dining, Living and Family Playroom with ping pong table, rowing machine, games, TV, kitchenette (mini fridge, dining bar, microwave, coffee, popcorn maker) convertible sofa and additional Queen guest bedroom and bath suite, and can comfortably accommodate 5 adults or 2 couples and 2 children.

However, for an *additional $95 dollars* a night, we can add the upstairs Master Bed/Bath suite (including his/hers sinks, walk-in closet, Rain Dome Double Shower) accommodating an additional couple which will allow up to 6-7 people for the entire house. In total there are 3 bedrooms potentially rentable, even though only 2 are listed on the main page.
We hope to accommodate as many as you need, as the space is flexible, depending on your party size. If the 3rd bedroom is needed there will be the additional per night charge.
It is a wonderful retreat for friends, couples or extended family to relax, play, recharge, nourish, and enjoy. We grew up here and know the value and magic of these woods. It has everything you need to feel at home, and we hope you will take pleasure in all the amenities we have provided as it is a family treasure.

Depending on the size of your booking, you will be able to use the entire home including downstairs master suite and additional family playroom plus guest bedroom, or add on the extra Upstairs Master Suite for larger parties. This will be determined at the time of your booking and the number in your party. Please see the description above for full details.
Other things to note
We believe even though you are in the relative wilderness, you should have access to excellent coffee, comfort and modern convenience (wifi/cellservice) but we are firm on NO SMOKING, no shoes in house, and all outdoor equipment should be kept in garage for safe keeping and protection of the soft hardwood floors.
We only rent to people who have a minimum of two positive reviews. No food is permitted on the daybed in the stairwell as the fabric is sensitive to stains. We have security and motion sensor lights and cameras on the external perimeter of the house and property.
