We had a wonderful family getaway at the Ponderosa House. The house is beautiful and had all the amenities that my family needed and was looking for. My mom and children loved the tranquil backyard and the quiet was just heaven. And the drive to the El Portal entrance of Yosemite was a beautiful, quiet drive and a lot closer than we expected.Thank you.
Good location to Yosemite and the nearby town.
We had a great stay at the Ponderosa house. The kitchen was great, loved the tranquility and proximity to the park
My family had a wonderful weekend that included staying at the Ponderosa House and visiting Yosemite. The weather was rainy and cool for a portion of the weekend so each evening upon returning to the house it was a treat to be able to use the hot tub! The home is spacious and welcoming and was a perfect place of the 6 of us to stay. We would like to perhaps stay another time in the future if possible. Thank you for renting the home to us over this past weekend.
We stayed 2 adults and 4 kids in mid February.
The house is about 45 min from the valley and its a beautiful drive into Yosemite.
We can absolutely recommend the property.
If you visit in the winter make sure to bring warm socks and clothing.
We like to prepare our own food and the kitchen was great for this. Bedrooms were quiet and private with comfortable bedding. Living area was great for a group of 6 with lots of games to enjoy as well. Hot tub was great for after a long hike in the park. It was clean and heated up fast. It rained for an entire day and we passed a content day at this house waiting for better weather. Location is ideal, as it's only 15 mins to downtown Mariposa and 45 mins to Yosemite. I would stay again.
