About Dave McKay

i love the out doors and this property is in the center of outdoor adventure. No crowds here! The only business in town that is open is the Shell station down by the interstate. This is a GHOST TOWN !

Dave McKay purchased this mobile home in 2012

Why Dave McKay chose Utah

peace and quite! wild life! Indian art 3 miles up the canyon! Hidden treasure trove of Dino tracks . Beautiful cliff trails that can be driven by atv or in some cases, car! Antelope herds travel through Town! Spectacular Trails!

What makes this mobile home unique

I rode out of town July 3 2012 on my atv and rode all the way to Arizona ( 504 miles one way!) Never crossed private property!!! Saw antelope and bufalo herds on the way!

House was immaculate. Cleanest place I've ever stayed in. I actually went looking for dust to see if I could find any. None. Great for a small family/couple. Check in was easy. Never spoke to anyone at the park or the owner, which is no difference to me.

Location is great for a hub to Moab and National Parks. It is about 30 miles to Moab. If you have 4x4, pop a right out of property and follow Sego Canyon up to the top.

Only "downside" I can see for people is remoteness. If you need anything nearby, be it food/bar/entertainment its a 30 mile drive. Only thing in town is a gas station. Fine for us but I can see it being an issue for some!

Would stay again without a doubt!

Quiet, clean, well stocked

  • 5 of 5

This place was a great last minute choice on our road trip. It was like being home. It was away from crowded areas but with easy access to the Nat'l Parks.

Cozy, quiet, and clean.

  • 5 of 5

Our girls love the tiny house shows and were excited to experience one. Bigger than those on tv, but definitely cozy. It fit our family of four just fine with one in the loft and one on the couch. Quiet and off the beaten path outside of Moab. The house was clean and had everything we needed, nice kitchenware, lots if towels. Oudoor patio adds to the space and was nice to enjoy morning coffee. Great value and highly recommend!

Nicely appointed cozy house

  • 4 of 5

Basic but very nice accomadations. Not fancy but very comfortable and clean.

35 min drive to Moab and Arches but this was offset by the affordability and its very

quiet setting. Would be nice if the Internet worked (which it didn't).

The little big house that has it all!

  • 5 of 5

4 of us stayed at this house for 2 nights and liked the place alot. We watched beautiful sunsets on the mountain horizon. We saw prairie dogs from the house, but never met the proud owner of the house who keeps his place clean and up kept. We went to Arches and Canyon-lands parks and hanged out at Moab. We'd stay in here again!
