A quiet apartment suite in a convenient location between historic downtown and the beach hotels - just 10-15 minutes walk in opposite directions. Good amenities, well-equipped kitchen, and value for money. Not so good: maintenance has been neglected - jacuzzi didn't work properly and remote operator was not always responsive, the computer work station didn't work [wireless keyboard batteries corroded, mouse not charged], patio light switch did not work, screen of the patio screen door was ripped (we were eaten alive by bugs), handle to the suite door required immediate repair upon arrival [it was about to fall off]. The small refrigerator in the suite had a broken freezer compartment which needs to be defrosted and repaired (this caused the fridge to run more / make unnecessary noise).Furniture in the suite was dated - the bed was not very comfortable and fold-out sleeper sofa was dirty and in need of replacement. Bathroom and shower are in need of a thorough cleaning. Some 'house instructions' / visitor's guide would have been useful instead of having to message the property manager at his other job every time we had a basic question about where to find something, or to get toilet paper, for example. A list of local businesses, supermarkets, etc. would have been handy.A sauna was advertised in the listing but not present at the property.Property is currently for sale which might explain why maintenance is not up to par, though a guest shouldn't notice that.
