About Mike and Lara Gustafson

Mike and Lara Gustafson, we took this cabin over from my father Tom Gustafson this year and we look forward to meeting our guests. We have two daughters, ages 19 and 16. We grew up in the Brevort/St.ignace area. we also own Gustafson's Smoked Fish here in Brevort. We hope you enjoy your stay here and are available to answer any questions you may have about the area.

Mike and Lara Gustafson purchased this cottage in 2014

Why Mike and Lara Gustafson chose Moran

This cabin is very quiet and relaxing, we are located right on the trails for snowmobiling or ATV riding. Close to the sand dunes area where you can swim and watch the sunset. The ferry boats to Mackinac Island are only 20 miles away. If you love nature you will find lots of that around, great fishing too on Brevort Lake.

Great Home Base to Explore The U.P.

  • 5 of 5

The cabin is very clean and well laid out. The five of us (four adults and one 15-year-old) had a lot of fun playing games at the large kitchen table, or just relaxing in front of the TV if we'd had an especially busy day exploring. We would definitely stay here again!

Exciting Adventures in the UP with a wonderful place to stay!

  • 5 of 5

The cottage is just as beautiful as the pictures. It was so comfortable and relaxing. You really do not want to leave the house. The location was a perfect home-base for all our outings. We went to the Bear Ranch, the Falls, Grand Marais beach, Whitefish point, Paradise, The Mystery Spot, Zip Lining and Mackinaw Island.

The home accommodated myself and my 3 grandchildren very comfortably.

Mike and Lara are so wonderful to work with and extremely helpful! They bailed me out of a horrible mudbath on my car when my GPS took me down the wrong road and they sent my Granddaughter her zebra pillow that she left at the house.

Their store is great place for smoked fish, however my grandchildren loved the slimjims.

I am looking forward to coming back soon!

Thank you Mike and Lara for everything!!!!

This property is Great!

  • 5 of 5

Four of us (two couples) rented this cabin in early June 2017. The cabin is fabulous and in like brand new condition. Very close to US 2 for easy travels to all the destination spots we wanted to visit. The owners were very easy to deal with, check in and check out was a breeze.

Great cabin in the woods!

  • 5 of 5

This cabin is so cute and comfortable and clean. It was a great central location for the activities we wanted to do. Kitchen was well equipped with dishes, pans, nice knives and appliances. Beds were very comfortable. We enjoyed the fire pit every evening. The only thing that we felt were missing was ceiling fans since it did get warm then we were there and a DVD player for a rainy day. Make sure to go Gustafson's and get the fish dip, jerky and slim jims. We would definitely stay here again and recommend to our family and friends!
