Great location spectacular views

My wife and I love the Holmes beach / Ana Maria area. We have stayed at different units at AG Casa Marina The prestine beach which is just outside the units is in my opinion one of the best beaches in Florida. All the room we stayed in at AG CASA. MARINA are always been very clean , up to date and full of amenities. It does have a very well maintained pool, but the reason I gave a five star rating and takes this beach rental to another level is the newly installed modernized BBQ area with double grills and great outside paved area. I have also been told more changes will be coming . I can't wait until my next stay to see what other improvements have been made . Keep up the good work ,see you soon.

We picked this place because we were pressed for time & didnt want to deal with the hassle of driving down to AMI everytime i wanted to see a house. Frank the owner was very nice &even met me there 2 weeks prior so I can check the property out. (I live in the tampabay area, but my friends did not). The place is small & quaint, enough for 4-6 ppl depending on size. located right on the beach as stated.The entrance to this place leads right into one of the bedrooms, so depending on your level of privacy it may be inconvenient. You can also enter thru back porch which leads to kitchen/livingroom. Bathroom inside the bedroom was roomy enough for a beach house, tiles in shower were very clean. The bathroom outside is very small, its like a 1/2bathroom with a shower stall. The tiles inside that shower have been upgraded & clean but a very tight fit. All Appliances are in working condition. Stove,fridge, & microwave are new, dishwasher seemed fairly new or replaced. One of the kitchen drawers needs reinforcing, so I just took out enough utencils &kept it in another drawer cause I didnt want to mess with it. Didnt get a chance to watch the flat screen tv but the kids did &it seemed fine. Kitchen table was roomy &had enough chairs to seat everyone.Parking was conveniently marked with the apt #, but word of advice. Please befriend your neighbors (they all came & befriended me) & pay attention to their vehicles or just ask them. The reason is because local beach goers will take your spot during the day if you leave the property. It happened to me & i had to park 2 blocks down. Then another day another beach goer parked next to me & left, I later realized that my car had several scratches.I was really upset. All the cars were very tightly parked due to unauthorized parkers. I wondered on several occasions how the driver could get out. If this should happen dont hesitate to call frank with the tag # & he will get the unauthorized vehicle towed. This place was small & quaint enough for my 4 day rental. If you are looking for a 5 star hotel then this is not it. This place serves its purpose...."a place to lay your head, everything is functioning &RIGHT ON THE BEACH" and thats exactly what it did- "SERVE ITS PURPOSE." Everyone has different levels of priorities. My thing is "I'M NOT GOING TO LIVE THERE"! I'm just coming to stay on the beach for a few days & let it all hang. As long as my shower is CLEAN, bed is comfy & clean, applinces work , AC&Wi-Fi worked....what e

Unhappy start!

Our stay here started out really bad. We were told check in was at 4:00 - it's really at 3:00 but our place wasn't clean and ready until 6:30. Calls to manager/owner were unsatisfactory with no apology about the delay. The beach and location are nice. Needs some upgrades but ok.

Owner's Response: We apologize for the inconvenience. The previous tenant checked out later than planned and house keeping moved on to clean a different unit. Check in time is normally 4pm and we allowed you to check in to one of your 2 units at 9am at no extra charge- a generous gesture for the hour and a half delay this caused you in the other unit.

Adequate beachfront setting

• Unit is directly on the beach / great location

• It had a large enough kitchen table for 7 of us to play games at night and eat meals together (4 rented this unit and 3 rented the unit below for a girlfriends getaway)

• One double bed in private bedroom with connected bathroom

• One queen bed in private bedroom with hall bathroom

• Contained needed kitchen appliances

• Adequate for a short stay

• Air-conditioned!

• Outside showers at the side of the house to wash away beach sand were convenient

• Could see the sunset from the 2nd floor patio

• Pictures on VRBO site are accurate, but things are a bit worn throughout


• Owner/Frank gave me the wrong key code to get in the unit initially. I had to call him back to get the correct code to get in the unit. At least this upper unit was cleaned and ready to check in when promised (4 PM rather than the posted 3 PM time), unlike the one I also rented directly beneath it.

• Pull out couch wasn’t fresh smelling

• No WIFI signal or cell phone service in unit

• Very, very small pool – didn’t use

• No “new furniture”-- but beds were comfortable, while pull out couch not so much

• Pricey for what you got
