Excellent Cottage Rental
Super convenient and comfortable. Everything was exactly as promised. Highly recommend!
A month in paradise.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cottage. To be so close to Kailua Beach was fantastic. It’s also quite close to Lanikai, and Kailua town. We walked to both locations often. This one bedroom, one bath has everything you need to enjoy your stay. As indicated in several reviews, the main house is quite close, but we all got along quite well if we were home at the same time which wasn’t often. I’d give it two thumbs up!
Location, location, location
We had an absolutely fabulous time and so enjoyed the cottage. It was perfect for us as we had our daily morning stroll to the coffee shop and then to the beach for our daily walk, coffee in hand. The cottage was just perfect for the two of us. And it was also so easy for us to host my daughter and her family, who live locally, for beach time and a couple of dinners. You provided everything we needed. Thanks so much for helping us to have another wonderful vacation in Kailua.
Wonderful location, great accommadation
Our stay at this cottage was pretty close to perfect. The cottage looks just like its pictures but the pictures can't convey how comfortable and well-stocked it is. The bed is comfortable, the shower is great, seating and tables are good. We spent a lot of time on the lanai, ate all our meals there. The kitchen is much better provided than most places I've stayed - plenty of dishes, silverware, even placemats and napkins. There are plenty of pots and utensils for whatever cooking you may want to do. Lisa and Debra were very easy to deal with and everything went smoothly.
The location is as good as you could want. It really is "250 steps to Paradise." I walked an hour on Kailua Beach every morning and went back in the afternoon. We got breakfast at the Kalapawai market most mornings, walked to Island Snow for shave ice several afternoons. Kailua has many restaurants, shops, whatever you might want, and it's an easy drive to the North Shore and the rest of Oahu.
The cottage and the house are very close together and share the back yard, as others have noted. We had good neighbors in the house and no complaints. One night they had guests and several children played loud games in the back yard, but we are used to children and didn't mind. Other than that, we weren't much aware of their presence. It's a beach community with houses in close proximity. We had as much noise (not much) from the people on either side and behind us as we did from the house.
We have stayed in the house before; this was our first time in the cottage. I hope to return often!
The perfect place for the perfect holiday!
Me and a a couple of friends have been in the Cottage in Kailua for 2 amazing weeks.
The place fitted us perfectly since the sofa in the livingroom is a very comfortable bed.
The patio on the big garden was perfect for our breakfast and dinner. Everything was so silent and relaxing. The beach is so close and we walked every morning to see the sunrise.
Lisa and Debra have been so kind and helpful. We collaborate to organize everything for our best stay. The fridge had a problem and Debra took care of everything very quickly.
I recommend this Paradise to everyone.
Mahalo, Lisa and Debra.
My husband and I have had this property for about 30 years. Since my husband's family had lived in Kailua for many years during their high school years and had many fond memories of the island, we wanted to be able to bring our own family back to Kailua and create our own family memories. About 8 years ago, we decided to open our home to other vacationing families who have been able to enjoy many happy days as a family here. We hope that you find our place as comfortable for your family as we do for ours!

Why Owner chose Kailua
What makes this Cottage unique
Being located a short walk from Kailua Beach means that you can go back and forth to the beach all day without loading and unloading everything into and out of the car. I love being able to pick up my latte at the Kalapawai Market before my beach stroll, and we have a family ritual of shave ice every afternoon from Island Snow (President Obama's favorite before-dinner snack with his kids!)
