tipo de edificio: edificios de varias viviendas. el propietario vive en el mismo terreno. no es posible una reserva de grupo. no es posible una reserva de grupos menores de edad.
The holiday home is located behind our house in the garden, in a very quiet location. The holiday flat "Dorle" on the top floor (accessible via a staircase) is a quiet, sunny, non-smoking flat with separate living room and bedroom for 2 people. The property on the main road to Hohegeiß is close to the centre and all the amenities of the village are within walking distance. There is a bakery almost opposite, where you can also get a wide range of freshly baked goods on Sundays. You can also treat yourself to breakfast in the adjoining café.There is also a restaurant with a lunch and dinner menu in the immediate vicinity. The pizzeria right next to the spa gardens with its gondola pond also serves lunch and dinner (with delivery service in the evening).Shopping centre, flower shop, a small boutique, doctor, pharmacy, bank, hairdresser, beauty salon, physiotherapy and public transport stop are only 500 m away. The railway station of the Harz narrow-gauge railway (HSB) / Brockenbahn / Selketalbahn is also within easy walking distance at a distance of approx. 1000 m. With the historic steam railway you can reach the Brocken, the "highest in the north" at 1142 m above sea level, more comfortably than Heine and Goethe.A day hike from Benneckenstein up to the Brocken is also possible. Or, like Heinrich Heine back in 1824, you can take a "Harz Journey" and hike from Göttingen through the Harz Mountains over the Brocken to Ilsenburg. Follow in his footsteps on the Heinrich Heine Trail named after him. Let's see if it takes you four weeks like him.The great poet Johann Wolfgang von Goethe was undoubtedly one of the most famous visitors to the Harz, who left his mark in numerous places in the Harz. Many names and memorial plaques still commemorate his presence during his three extensive journeys through the Harz Mountains. He climbed the highest peak in the Harz Mountains, the towering Brocken, three times, the first time on 10 December 1777. At that time, the exposed mountain with its unconventional climate was still completely undeveloped for tourists and the route to the legendary summit was a daring adventure. Goethe's approximate route is still one of the most popular ascents to the Brocken today as the "Goetheweg". He did not come to the Harz Mountains as a holidaymaker, but as an explorer and carried out various studies in the fields of geology and mining during his travels. The impressions and experiences of his travels through the Harz Mountains also inspired Goethe in his literary work. His masterpiece "Faust" in particular was clearly characterised by his experiences in the Harz and many scenes were set in this mountain range. Outstanding in this context is the Walpurgis celebration on the Brocken described in the first part of the tragedy. The Harz thus became an immortalised literary monument and found its way into world literature at an early stage. The holiday flat "Dorle" has a living space of approx. 40 sqm with 2 separate rooms and is located on the 1st floor (attic). The cosy living area with sofa set, satellite TV, radio, CD and DVD function is connected to the dining area (dining table with 4 chairs) at the window with a view of the large garden and an open kitchen (with skylight) with ceramic hob (2 plates), refrigerator (with freezer compartment), coffee machine, toaster, kettle and microwave. In addition to sufficient crockery, glasses, cutlery, pots and pans, the equipment also includes interesting information material to help you plan your holiday. Some board games, books, CD's and DVD's will shorten long evenings or even a rainy day. In the second room on the same level is the bedroom with a double bed, sufficient storage space for your holiday wardrobe (3-door wardrobe with cupboard safe, chest of drawers with 2 doors and drawers and 2 bedside cabinets). The large south-facing window can be darkened with a roller blind and the daylight shower room (shower, washbasin, toilet) can be reached from the small corridor between the living room and bedroom. The flat is lockable by a flat entrance door directly at the staircase and of course also has heating. The holiday home is surrounded by a courtyard and a large garden with various idyllic seating areas, a garden pond with a gazebo, a swing and a small wood. Here you can enjoy the sun, nature and peace and quiet or use the barbecue provided. There is plenty of garden furniture available. The garden is not for exclusive use, also the guests of the holiday flat "Anna" and we ourselves will stay here, but due to its size of approx. 2000 square metres there is a secluded "corner" for everyone. You can park directly in front of the house (courtyard), but you can also park your car in the public area in front of the property free of charge. There are 2 separate holiday flats in the house, making it ideal for holidays with friends, parents or grandparents. Thanks to its central location in the border triangle with Thuringia and Lower Saxony, Benneckenstein is the ideal starting point for exploring the beauty of the Harz Mountains. It doesn't matter whether you go on shorter or longer hikes, use your mountain bike or car / motorbike, use public transport free of charge with your spa card or explore the Harz Mountains nostalgically on the narrow-gauge railway. You will be amazed by the many small and large half-timbered towns with their special charm, the stalactite caves and the many show mines where you can get to know the underground world and mining museums. Immerse yourself in history and visit numerous churches/stave churches worth seeing, cathedrals with cathedral treasures, imperial palaces, castles and castle ruins, palaces and monasteries. Head to dizzying heights on the treetop trails, the suspension bridge at the Rappbode Dam, the cable cars and climbing parks, and cross the Harz National Park on numerous hikes up to the Brocken with its 1142 metres above sea level. The many adventure and thermal baths in the area also invite you to spend a relaxing day on holiday. Of course, this is only a small selection of possible holiday activities, we would be delighted if you chose our holiday flat as a starting point for your Harz explorations and wish you a good rest already today.
