Perfect for Us

  • 4 of 5

This place was perfect for our family. Four adults stayed over Christmas so we could be with family nearby. The house is homey and pleasant. The bedrooms are large and comfortable. The kitchen provided everything we needed. Karen was very accommodating to our special needs. We will stay again.

Great quiet property

  • 5 of 5

I hosted a small surprise birthday party for my bf. The property was in a nice quiet neighborhood. It wasn't too close to the other homes so noise wasn't a problem at all. The home is very nice and well kept. It's a pretty big space and you have the option to rent both the upstairs and downstairs or just one. We stayed in the upstairs only and it was big and comfortable. We did also see the downstairs and it's very nice as well. The best part of the experience was that Karen was so nice and accommodating. We really enjoyed our stay.

Absolutely enjoyed the house!

  • 5 of 5

We hosted a family gathering for our parents and all that attended commented how comfortable they felt in the home as opposed to a room in a public venue.

Very cozy and nicely decorated!

Cozy, relaxing and beautiful setting

  • 5 of 5

This home was perfect for us. It is close to Fair Hill International and has easy access to the trail system. The large framed map in the hallway was great for planning hikes and knowing where we were. The back yard, deck and gardens were a perfect place to relax. Everything was spacious and well played out. Really enjoyed cooking in the kitchen, there was everything you could need for meal prep, and the grill was a delight to use. We will definitely return. Thank you for the welcome flowers on the table.

Very Nice Accommodations

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at this home for a long weekend because our son was married in Wilmington, DE., and we are from NC. The location was perfect for us. The bride's family lives in Newark, and our drive to their house and to downtown Newark was very easy. The accommodations was very nice. There were 8 adults, and one toddler in our group, and the house met our needs. The owner actually bought a pack-n-play for us in order to have a place for our 2 year old grandson to sleep, which I thought was extremely nice. If there was one issue with the house, it would be that the downstairs was only accessible with the upstairs by having to go outdoors and using the front door. It would have been nice, if the 2 levels could have been accessible with indoor stairs. Other than that, it was great.

Excellent Accommodations

  • 5 of 5

Our recent stay at Karen's house in Elkton, Md. was everything we wanted. The facilities are exactly as described and accommodated our family very nicely. The lower level apartment was perfect for our sons (away from the children) and the bedrooms in the upper apartment were spacious, plus each have a private bath. The setting is very private on a country road, but within reasonable proximity to the college and town of Newark. The outside deck and setting were perfect for a family cookout. Karen, the owner, was readily available by phone and pleasant to work with. In short, it was the right selection for us. We highly recommend Karen's house -- Great for a family gathering!!
