This was truly a mountain escape! It is in a secluded area, but the house is so well equipped and maintained that you will not need anything. The only thing you need is to come ready to relax and and enjoy nature. If you are coming to visit the Yosemite park or any other park in the area, is really a perfect spot despite the time it takes to move around the area. The roads are very curvy, but easy to drive in as long as you maintain your speed. It took us about 1.5 hours to get to the Yosemite Village, but with the lovely surroundings during the drive, even that was relaxing.
I was in the home with two other families and it never felt crowded. The place truly feels like a home the minute you step in. I would rent this property over and over again!
Yosemite Spring Escape
Wonderful, comfortable home in the mountains to escape to and relax with your kids and some extra family and friends while you visit Yosemite. The views from the house and of the night sky are great. The park is about an hour drive from the house and Mariposa and a grocery store are about 15 minutes away. We enjoyed cooking dinner and using the jacuzzi, fire pit, and game room after spending the day in the park. Chris was very welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. Don’t be put off by the short gravel road to the house. We saw wild turkeys and deer as we drove up and down the road without a problem in our 2002 minivan.
Great vacation home close to Yosemite
We had a fantastic vacation in Yosemite. Chris was the best host you could ask for and the house was great! All the amenities you would ever need and more. After long hikes, we took full advantage of the hot tub and enjoyed the wood burning stove and fire pit outside. We didn't want to leave...........would give it 6 stars if I could.
Thanksgivng Stay 2017
We stayed in this great house for the Thanksgiving week and enjoyed everything it had to offer. The house was supper inside with the open living room, kitchen and dining. Great for cooking and enjoying our kids and grandkids. It opened onto a beautiful patio with a hot tub we used everyday. The location was close to Mariposa and to a lot of outdoor activities in Yosemite and the national recreational land along the Merced River. Chris, the owner, was great with the questions we had. His directions also got us there in the dark with no issues. The driveway is a little bumpy but that only brought in the deer and turkeys every day for us to keep our eye on. We would definitely rent this house again.

The rental was the perfect size for our group, had nice beds for everyone. The Table Tennis table and air hockey made our stay so much more fun. The kitchen was well equipped and plenty of room in the living room and outdoor patio to hangout with friends and family and have a great time.
It's just an hour away from Yosemite which made it quick to get to from Bay Area and made the next day's drive into Yosemite pretty quick.
Overall, had an awesome weekend.
Chris was very nice to us, giving directions and any help we needed. Thanks!
Amazing hideaway !
Location: A bit tricky , off the main tarred road, 5min on a gravel road. But great directions from the host and was easy for us to find it out, though it was dark by the time we reached (around 7.30pm)
The house: Amazing property, three bedrooms with nice decor, huge dining, kitchen and hall area. Equipped with all amenities for cooking and dining. Sattelite TV and PlayStation available too! Large courtyard for big groups to sit out and spend time together.
Ping pong and air hockey tables, plus several board games for entertainment.
Hot tub: The USP! Neon lighted and outside the house. Makes your stay worthwhile.
The host: Chris is amazing and super responsive. He made sure that we had a great stay and provided all information at the outset, making the stay a fabulous one. A welcome bottle of wine and fruits, who won't love it!!! Thank you so much!
A highly recommended property and we will surely be back here!
