We spent a weekend at Whispering Pines and loved every minute of it!

  • 5 of 5

The house has everything you'd want; the ability to see the milky way on a clear night is an added bonus. Chris was a wonderful host.

Lovely place if not for the dirt road to get in, I will rate it 5 stars.

  • 4 of 5

Christ and Taylor were wonderful hosts. When we arrived the Jacuzzi has been heated up and ready to use. House was very clean and organized. Water dispenser was an extra credit for this wonderful place. Fruit basket/ bottle of local red wine/ cheese and crackers/local coffee beans were there screaming WELCOME!!! I love this place!!! (The dirt road to get in to the properly should be seriously consider re-paving if possible).

Owner's Response: Thank you for your review, sorry you felt you had to give us a 4 star review cause of the road. We know it isn't the best, but when you live in the mountains it is just another thing you have to keep up. We have plans on regrading the road very soon, but with the recent fire our road guy has been busy as he works for the fire department running dozer to make fire lines and all the water trucks which is needed to do the road have been too busy. We hate that a short road to the house would give you the reason for a 4 star review. We will be getting it fixed soon!

Nice and quiet place surrounded by wild animals!

  • 5 of 5

The owner Chris was such a nice and helpful during our stay! He was always on call and answered any questions and gave us some advices. Also he prepared fruits, cheese, crackers, water and wine for welcoming us!! It was such a lifesaving for us since we arrived at the house late and could not get food on the way... we all had such a nice experience. Thank you so much Chris!

Excellent property

  • 5 of 5

A little bit tricky to find the place if you get there after sunset.

Except that, everything was perfect.

Wild fire in area, didn't get to go.

  • 3 of 5

There was a wild fire near the property, and they got evacuated. We did not get to go. We emailed the contact a day before and have heard nothing for at least 4 days.

Owner's Response: Well Lael, Sorry you could not understand the situation we were put into by this fire. I no way shape or form did we wish this to happen! We were evacuated and had no way to get our contacts of our guests that were coming in. Everyone of them besides you were able to get a hold of us by Cell phone so we could work things out. You have now received your full refund and we do apologize for your vacation being abrupted. Sincerely, Chris Jennings
