Exactly What I Wanted!

I came to Philly for a work trip/training and found the hotel they recommended too expensive. I was able to find UrHip for a tiny bit cheaper, but with so much more space and comfort! Centrally located, I was only about 5-10 mins away from the training and still right in the center of the city so lots to do/see in walking distance! When I arrived the smoke alarm battery was beeping and I was nervous that it would beep all night, but I called and they sent someone right away to take care of it! Dan also gave me his card, encouraged me to call him directly for anything I needed, and brought me extra lighting! Anything I asked for/needed was addressed immediately! The apartment itself was spectacular! It was a beautiful, spacious, light-filled apartment that I would LOVE to live in permanently! The bathtub is actually bigger than my own at home so that felt luxurious! I loved being able to do laundry before leaving, which made coming home less taxing. The apartment had EVERYTHING I could have needed (Though you might include ice trays in the freezer!) including a cork screw and wine glasses, which was awesome considering the HUGE liquor/wine store on the ground floor! Although I did love it here, I have to say that the concierge (not run by UrHip) was easily confused and often used the phrase, "I don't know anything about that". So, don't rely on the concierge for much and be very clear about what you do need when you need them. Otherwise they were friendly and helpful to the best of their ability. If you really need something always contact UrHip directly, they will help you much better. This place is great for all, long or short stay, kids or no kids, romantic getaway, whatever you need. A really great home away from home! Totally beats a hotel any day!! Wish they were in other cities!

Excellent New Years Week in Philly!

I rented this condo over the week of New Years and had a wonderful experience! One of my best friends from Texas was in town for the holiday and I wanted to introduce her to the city Philly style. Although it is a one bedroom, it does have a pullout sofa, which made having two people occupy the space pretty comfortable and way better than staying in a hotel. The building is only a couple years old and very modern. The floor to ceiling windows and hardwood floors makes the space feel even more spacious. The view from the Center City condo is overlooking the direction of University City/30th Street Station. The entrance to the condo is just off a side street behind Market Street, which made unloading the car with the luggage a breeze (no pressure of maneuvering the car in the middle of a busy street) and the parking lot is literally just a couple of steps away from the building. (Fun fact: An Uber driver told us that the film “Limitless” was filmed in the area the building stands today.) There is a Trader Joe’s market just across the street which made stocking the fridge pretty easy. There is also a Starbucks just around the block and a pretty large liquor store on the other side of the building too. I felt safe walking around town and for the days that we wandered to places outside of walking distance, it only took about a 10-15 minute drive to popular destination spots, at the very most. The URHomeinPhilly staff (property manager) was only a phone call away, responsive and very helpful addressing all of my many questions. I had a great experience and would consider renting again for sure!
