About Marjorie and Mark Bellesiles
We love this location. We do all the things we advertise: Kayaking, biking, eating Crepes, drinking expresso, hiking, but mostly we love exploring this wonderful area. Port Gamble, Port Townsend, Point No Point Lighthouse at Hansville, Hurricane Ridge, the gardens at Heronswood and Bloedel, Hurricane Ridge, to name a few. Whale watching tours are offered summertime sadness across the water in Edmonds and in Port Townsend. We are a couple with a couple of grown kids, on their own, and 1 aging dog, who loves greeting guests. We live in the upstairs apartment, but you will hardly know it as both are very private.

Why Marjorie and Mark Bellesiles chose Kingston
This location is unique because it's easy to just hang out and relax, but is close to so many reccreational destinations. Edmonds is an easy walk on a 30 minute ride to access dozens of restaurants, galleries, walking paths. Besides the kayaking and long walks available, right out your door, there's great bird watching and fishing. In the summertime, there is a Saturday market at the marina and live music in the evenings.

This location is a five minute walk to the ferry and marina. This make it such a unique location. It's close to everything, but when you are sitting by the water, you feel a world away.

Location
In Kingston, from May to October, there's a farmers market at the marina, and great fishing, of course. Kingston Adventures, which is walking distance, rents stand up paddleboards, kayaks and mountain bikes. Just up the road, to the north about 10 minutes, is Hansville, with lighthouse, nature trails and parks. Also about 10 minutes by car (west), is Port Gamble, an old New England company town. There's cute shops, Olympic Outdoor Center and miles of accessible mountain bike and walking trails. Further west and north is Port Townsend is about 45 minutes by car. It's a wonderful Victorian town, with music, winery tours, and activities going on all summer and fall. To the south and west, is the Scandinavian town of Poulsbo, with marina, parks and plenty of shops and restaurants.
