An elegant log home on 4+ acres of privacy in the exclusive Greenhorn neighborhood. Drive ten minutes north to Ketchum and the River Run ski lifts. Then avoid the crowds and travel ten minutes south to the delightful restaurants and shops in Hailey. Take a hop and a skip up Greenhorn canyon to find miles of trails for hikes, easy to challenging, and world class mountain biking. The snowshoeing and back country skiing are also terrific.
The BCRD bike path is just an easy mile down the canyon. The BCRD bike path runs from Bellevue all the way up to and past Ketchum.
This spacious home is beautifully appointed. There is a well equipped kitchen with a new refrigerator/freezer, a new gas range, an electric oven and numerous small appliances. The airy, flow-together living and dining room has a large natural river-stone fireplace, an overstuffed couch and chairs and a table that comfortably seats 8. Huge windows provide light and spectacular views while a large window seat is the perfect spot to read a book in the sun or just gaze at the mountains.
Entertain yourself with WI-fi, cable and a flat screen TV, as well as books, puzzles and games. A delightfully sheltered and sunny back porch has lounge chairs, a table for outdoor dining and a gas grill. The surrounding yard is fenced for dogs.
The master bedroom is on the main level. It has a cal king bed, a queen sleeper sofa, a wood stove with another cozy seating area and huge windows. You can see the stars as you fall asleep.
The master bath boasts a capacious two-person tub with jets and more views; a separate shower and radiant heat in the floor. Downstairs there is a second bedroom with a cal king bed. A third bedroom, perfect for children or a single adult has a full bed with a twin trundle bed. There is also a full bathroom with an attractively tiled vanity and shower tub. The lower level is completed by a coat and boot room and a full laundry room. This level has radiant heat in the tile floors throughout. The two car garage is attached to the house.
This is the ideal vacation home for families or couples looking to get away from it all, while still having access to shopping, dining and a host of outdoor activities.
We live in Virginia but have family all over the west. We bought this home to be closer to our families and to have a central vacation home for visitors. We love the area, hiking, biking, skiing, fishing and the community which offers wonderful shops and restaurants, as well as theater, live music and numerous festivals.

We spend one week in this beautiful place, we loved the house, the views and the surroundings. Across the street, up on the mountain you can see a lot of elk enjoying Greenhorn. Indeed, is a wonderful Winterland, private and close to Hailey and Ketchum.
We had a fantastic 2 week vacation in the Hailey, Ketchum area.
We love hiking w/our 2 dogs and this is just the area to explore the beautiful scenery & nature.
First of all, the house was great, on a quiet street, with all kinds of hiking trails at the end of the road.
The owner was very responsive, on any questions I may have had, before we got there. Also, if we had any issues w/the house, which we didn't, there was a caretaker not too far away.
There's just too many trails, not enough time in 2 weeks to travel them all, we'll be back.
If you love hiking, like we do, look into the Iron creek trail to Sawtooth Lake, stunning views!
We have gone through VRBO a number of times and have always found the properties exactly as described. This home fits the bill similarly! We have skied at Sun Valley for years and always rented in Ketchum, Elkhorn, or Warm Springs. This location is in many ways the best. It is no more than 10 minutes from drop off at River Run so quite convenient. The orientation towards Hailey was a real and unexpected plus, as getting in and out of shopping was easier, we were very close to Friedman Airport (about 10 minutes), and going to and parking at Hailey restaurants is very easy. The home is on an exceptional and quiet street. The views of the mountains from the property are amazing and wildlife is nearby-saw both moose and elk when driving down the street. The house stays nice and warm for cold SV nights, and some of the floors are heated-especially downstairs through the garage entrance which was really great. The present owner is not the original one, the latter clearly building for themselves making some of the layout unique. The master bedroom is enormous with spectacular views. There is plenty of hot water and good water pressure which is something I really like. Despite the large size of the home, there are just three bedrooms. On the other hand, this was exactly what I was looking for (and why the house came to the top of my list when looking), allowing my wife and I to have one level, and the other guests to have privacy on the other. There is a separate caretaker house and the caretaker was needed once for an issue and he was exceptionally helpful. Finally, and very importantly, the owner is just the best!!! She is very communicative, responds quickly, and could not have been more helpful. This is very critical to me and a key issue in renting a house. I would certainly stay at this beautiful home again for another ski trip. I never seem to get to SV in the summer, but would jump at staying at this home then.
Our small family (5 adults and one infant) enjoyed our stay in this beautiful home at Thanksgiving. We were cozy with wonderful fires in the big living room fireplace enjoying views from each and every window of the sunny but snowy hillsides often populated by elk. Watching the sun rise over the mountains was a treat and being surrounded by the peace and quiet was so much nicer than staying in town, although it did not take us long to get to either Ketchum or Hailey.
It was easy to cook in the spacious kitchen with most of what we needed to prepare a turkey dinner. A few upgrades to the lighting (making it easier to read comfortably in each room), better flushing toilets, and a few minor fixes to a wobbly table and etc. and I would have give the home a 5 star. We hope to return someday.
The owner was very nice as was her caretaker who was very helpful to us.
my son and i spent a wonderful stay in this beautiful home and i would highly recommended to others looking for comfort and quiet. The living room and particularly the master bedroom are stunning! further i agree with JR and Chris' s reviews. i would add that the owner was a gracious host.

Our stay in this home exceeded our expectations. The location is pristine, with amazing views out of the master suite. It is perfectly located in a quiet neighborhood with easy access to biking and hiking trails, and a short drive to Ketchum, Sun Valley and Hailey. The owner is very responsive and respectful. I highly recommend this property for a spacious, peaceful retreat!
