Beautiful old home!
This house was beautiful!! Its an old home, with some old home issues, but nothing that created a problem. (some of the doors don't sit flush 1 outlet did not work) My kids loved the house too! 2 huge living rooms, a large dining room, and front entrance made a great area for them to run around in. The front porch was awesome to sit on, and enjoy the sunny weather too. We had 1 issue while staying there and had to reach out to the property manager, who responded in less than 5 minutes, and had the problem solved in 10! I will absoloutely bring my family to stay here again!

The home was very nice. It should have a TV in each bedroom. And direction on which channel work.

Big house...major potential
The house was in need of major TLC. Firstly off the lock on the door would not work as I later found the batteries were dead. Secondly many lights within the house did not seem to function and so we had to wander around the house in order to figure out which lights worked. The TV in the living room had no sound I contacted the owner of the house to let her know of the issues and she did not return my texts or phone calls until hours later. The house is very large with lots of space but lacks comfort and coziness due to owners lack of detail, style and concern for the home. the renovationss that are spoken of are minor in comparison to the continued work that needs to be done, the dryer in the home did not work, and hot water was sporadic throughout vacation. Although this vacation was a good price it's still in my opinion is not worth it due to the lack of contact by the owner as well as amenities in the home that were nonfunctioning.

Why they chose this property

A notable frame example of the Colonial Revival style is that said to have been designed by Sidney Andrews of Norfolk, Virginia, for J.F. "Jack" Parrott.. Built prior to the opening of the second section of Mitchelltown, this house caused the extension of West Washington Avenue to be made two lots north of its eastern section.

What makes this property unique

This house is minutes away from The Chef and The Farmer. Most of the guests are avid viewers of the A Chef’s Life on PBS.
