Why Todd chose Southwest

Riverdance's relaxing atmosphere is great for entertaining - open floor plan and many gathering spaces -- family room, living room and large waterfront porch and deck. The natural beauty of this location is unforgettable.

What makes this house unique

Breathtaking natural views (especially the sunrises). 0.8 acres on secluded point where the kalamazoo river meets the harbor. Boat or fish right from our seawall and enjoy summer in pure Michigan.

Spectacular place!

  • 5 of 5

Riverdance is a beautiful home on the river. We stayed Labor Day Weekend and couldn't have been happier. Beautifully decorated, clean and comfortable, the views are spectacular. The pool was perfect for lounging, and the kitchen had everything we needed to have a poolside gathering. There are two living spaces that provided some space for us to get out of each other's hair - it really was perfect. It was far enough from the "fray" of tourist-filled downtown Douglas & Saugatuck, but close enough to drive to everything we wanted. Todd was wonderful to work with. Can't wait to return!

Wonderful place!

  • 5 of 5

My wife and our 3 kids (+ her parents) just had an great week at Riverdance. It is clean, wonderfully decorated, and has fantastic views. The brand new pool was perfect for us. It is even better than the photos. We really could not have asked for a better experience.

Fantastic rental - will stay again!

  • 5 of 5

I just returned from Riverdance and have already started planning our next vacation there! We love the Douglas/Saugatuck area but rentals can be a bit all over the place. Riverdance looked like a perfect rental - right on the water with a pool - and it certainly was. It was fun to watch the boats and kayaks go by from the comfort of a chair on the patio. The brand-new pool is perfect and such a luxury- it was delightful to have a swim in the morning and evening. In the past, we've stayed within walking distance to the Douglas beach but I think we preferred this location on the river.

The kitchen was well-equipped for our needs and we used the grill one night for dinner. Having two living areas (and two separate TVs) was great during a quick rainstorm. Our party of 5 never felt squished or like we didn't have enough space. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms had everything we needed. The technology for the house was easy to navigate and it was convenient to have Netflix available as well.

Overall, we loved our stay and look forward to planning another visit to the area.

Fabulous place for all ages, simply stunning and superbly relaxing

  • 5 of 5

A family group of 6, three generations' worth, we stayed at Riverdance for a wonderful week in early September. The house is newly and completely refurbished, with a very well-supplied kitchen, new appliances and high quality throughout. It has two completely separate and equally attractive gathering areas, one with fireplace, so there is never a feeling of being cramped. Actually, there are more than that as there is a large and very comfortable screened porch adjacent to the deck that runs along the length of the house. A dining room, plus table on both the deck and the screened porch mean that you can dine wherever the mood or the weather suits. The house flows incredibly well.

The continuous and ever-shifting views of the river gliding by had us all mesmerised and seriously regretting the end of the week. Binoculars had been thoughtfully provided so we could monitor the abundant birdlife and other fauna. Twice we saw a river otter swimming by!

We all enjoyed the hot tub as the sun set turning the reeds golden and the sky pink and later, the starry sky full--even plenty of falling stars. Thank you, Todd!

When we could tear ourselves away from the pleasures of the house, it was a 5 minute drive to quaint Douglas with its shopping and great restaurants--our favourite is Everyday People.

We've rented houses in the Saugatuck area several times, but Riverdance provides a completely different experience that we definitely want to come back to again.

Fabulous experience!

  • 5 of 5

Seven of us (four adults and three children) thoroughly enjoyed this beautiful property during our week-long stay! Todd's home is clean, spacious, comfortable, and inviting! We prepared several meals throughout the week and every item we needed was on-hand. The hi-speed WiFi worked exceptionally well for the occasional work check-in too! We enjoyed lounging on the spacious back deck while barbequing and the kiddos enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub. The fire pit provided a wonderful opportunity to enjoy s'mores around the campfire and we found fishing from the seawall yielded a nice variety of fish bringing smiles to the kids (and adults) faces! The close proximity to Douglas and Saugatuck proved convenient for shopping, hitting the beach, and enjoying the many wonderful restaurants the area has to offer. Among the many highlights of our week, the kids loved the Art Barn located only a few minutes walk from the property as well as excursions that included a pontoon rental, Saugatuck Dune Rides and beach visits to Oval, South Haven, and Douglas. Communication with Todd was a breeze - he is a terrific host and we highly recommend staying at this property without hesitation! Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful home with us, Todd!
