The house was perfect for our family trip
The house was what we wanted for our family trip! It had two nice size bedrooms on main floor, full bathroom, as well as a back deck with nice gas grill! Two bedrooms down stairs and bathroom and extra bed also, as well as futon! The house was clean!! And it was just behind the Purple Pie Place! Great ice cream and excellent rhubarb pies!! We walked down town everyday! Everything was right there!! Thank you Lori, for the pleasant stay!! We love Custer!!
As nice as advertised, and comfortable for our group of 6 adults and 19-month-old.
Great location for homebase to explore the Hills, beginning with deer in the side yard...
Very nice... great location ... plenty of room. Loved the garage. Kept the motorcycles in there. Had all the conveniences of home. Would stay again.
A great home away from home.
Lori’s house was great. It has a well stocked kitchen, was clean & exactly as pictured. The property was perfectly located for our visits to Mt Rushmore, Crazy Horse & Custer State Park. An added bonus for our grandkids is the ice cream & pie shop right across the street (I highly recommend a visit). We were very comfortable and it was a perfect home away from home. I would definitely stay here again.
Everything we hoped for---and more!
We certainly enjoyed our recent trip to Custer and having this property to use as our home base was absolutely perfect. The home was clean, well stocked and not only met, but actually surpassed our expectations. The beds were comfortable. There was plenty of space for 7 adults to spread out and be comfortable. We cooked most days and found plenty of pots/pans, crock pots and even a skillet available for our use. Our only concern was we were reluctant to use the grill because we were not convinced that there would have been enough propane to finish grilling the meal and we weren’t exactly sure where we’d be able to find a store at that time in the evening to exchange the propane tank. Other than that, everything was wonderful.
Thanks Lori, for providing the perfect vacation rental. We can’t wait to come back!
Welcoming- a good Home-away-from-Home!!
We had a wonderful time and were so pleased with this home! It was in a perfect location - we were in town, yet had a little feel of the 'space' of South Dakota, with deer grazing daily just outside the house. In the kitchen we had the essentials we needed to prepare meals each night (pots, pans, utensils - even lots of extras like different spices, olive oil, even some hot chocolate mix, etc..) Nice grocery store just down the road a few blocks - got everything there. The ice maker in the freezer worked great and kept up with our needs. (We packed picnic lunches for our excursions several days) We used the grill one night and it worked great!! The large dining table along with the smaller table in the kitchen were great since there were 9 of us, we all had a place to sit and eat. The rooms were all decent size, with nice closets and complimentary hangers (thank you!). The beds were comfortable - there was 1 bed downstairs that is a bit more on the hard side than we liked, but may be perfect for someone else. Everything was clean and the decor was nice. We all thoroughly enjoyed our trip to SD and this house was the perfect place to crash and relax each night!! Note: The Purple Pie Place, located just behind the house, was a daily treat and the pie and ice cream were YUM! They are a can't miss if you come to Custer! Thank you Lisa for sharing your home with our family! We had a great time!
