Top rated rentals - Seymour

Excellent retreat (great location) from the crazyness of Vancouver!
From the very beginning, we had excellent and clear communication with the owners. Throughout our stay, the owners checked-in with us to ensure that we were comfortable. There were a couple tiny mishaps, including a fussy shower-head, but again the owners fixed the problem immediately (which was much appreciated).
Overall, our biggest pleasures were:
1) Back yard which the kids used extensively (especially the trampoline, the soccer balls, and wading pool)
2) Open space in the kitchen and living room (when inside, we spent the majority of our time in this lovely space)
3) Deck - we loved how it was connected to the living space - excellent space for enjoying BC wine!
4) Use of BBQ - great for preparing veggie and meaty meals!
5) Five bedrooms: perfect for the kids and I used one space for work
6) Trails behind the house - we explored several of the trails by foot and within seconds we were surrounded by amazing trees
7) Proximity to Deep Cove village - we brought the kids swimming, explored restaurants and enjoyed the coffee shops
8) Walking distance to golf course: twice we golfed early morning and were back home before 10am!
9) Neighbourhood: everyone was so welcoming, helpful, and quiet
10) Use of life jackets: these came in handy when we went kayaking
A few things to keep in mind:
1) There is no air conditioning, which is common in Vancouver homes: we were visiting during a hot spell and it was well over 30 degrees (90 degrees fahrenheit) inside. The two fans helped but the kids were very hot!
2) Basic kitchen amenities are provided: a couple items were missing (e.g. pan for cooking) and some were needing to be replaced :-)
3) The house was tidy, but could use a deeper clean before renting out (it was well lived in, so this could be considered a charm)
4) If you need to explore the West side of Vancouver (e.g. Kits beach), please remember that you are about a 1 hour drive away. This property if best if you want to explore the North Shore
We were grateful for how welcoming and inviting the family was. We would recommend this place right away to any family who wants a comfortable and pleasant stay, in a location that cannot be matched!
Thank you!!!
