VRBO Bear stayed here

Mar 11, 2017

This beautiful cabin in the Colorado Mountains was absolutely jaw dropping! It gave off a modern rustic feel as soon as you drove into the property. Snow blanketed the entire area as if we were in a winter wonderland. The wood-floored home was so inviting with a warm fireplace in the living room. The furniture held true with its outdoorsy authentic presence. Each of the 3 bedrooms was delightfully decorated, and contained the perfect amount of space for the VRBO Bear and friends. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and utensils. The VRBO Bear could observe continual home cooked meals while sitting in the cozy dining area. With the numerous windows that surrounded the cabin, sunlight always flooded in creating great energy in the home. The deck that wrapped around the cabin was perfect for viewing the stunning mountain views. Staying in such an amazing cabin made it difficult to get up the motivation to venture out, but once we did, we made many great memories. We found numerous skiing areas, met the friendly locals in the Historic District, visited larger areas such as Breckenridge, and found many local gems that others should discover. All in all, this home opened the ability to create moments that will never be forgotten. Thanks for the best experience Kelli and Eric!

Needed more time

  • 5 of 5

Our stay was excellent, but I have 2 issues with our trip. We weren't there long enough and couldn't enjoy firepit due to burn ban. Wish I had booked this cabin for an extended stay as we only had it for the weekend. We really wanted to roast hot dogs and s'mores for the kids, but the burn ban was in effect and we always have to respect the nature around us in such a beautiful place. Maybe next time.

I look forward to staying here again in the future for a longer timeframe.

Thanks for the hospitality and for sharing your wonderful cabin with my family.

Cabin was great and had everything you could possibly need and then some. Views were breathtaking. Be sure to read the cabin retreat book prior to exploring the surrounding woods...there are bears! We had an amazing time and would recommend to anyone wanting a relaxing get away.

Beautiful, Rustic Colorado Cabin

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful time - very family friendly. Plenty of room and well equipped with everything you need. It snowed quite heavily while we stayed and we were relieved to see a plow come up the driveway and clear the path down to the mountain roads. Plenty of snow shovels were at the cabin along with salt so we could dig ourselves out and get to the car! The garage was wonderful so the car was not covered in snow drifts :). Our boys LOVED it and played outside all day! Kitchen also well-equipped and we cooked several of our meals at the cabin. Board games kept the family occupied and we even watched a couple movies from the DVD collection. DirecTV was also nice to have ;). Overall wonderful cabin and we will definitely come back! Thank you!!

Wonderful Cabin, Gorgeous Views

  • 5 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this gorgeous FairPlay cabin. It allowed for a true "off the beaten path" mountain retreat while still being close to Breckenridge. The layout of the house fosters a fun lounge atmosphere, and the property is gorgeous. I hope I get to rent this place again!

Great place! Cozy, clean and comfortable!

  • 5 of 5

We have been staying in the Valley of the Sun "neighborhood" for 3 years at 3 different VRBO homes and this was the best by far! Loved the single story as it was much easier to keep a consistent temperature throughout the house. There was a garage for the car which made it so much better on the snow days(no scraping the windows clean!). The house was very clean and had every ammenity we needed and more! It was snowing one morning when we left for Breckinridge and when we returned that evening the driveways were snow plowed! Such great owners to keep track of that! We will definitely be coming back to stay again next year! Thank you for sharing your great place with my family of 6!!!

Absolutely amazing!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here for a week (the week before Christmas up until the day after Christmas 2016) and it was absolutely amazing. 5 of us stayed and there was plenty of room. The cabin is just what it is stated as & everything was just perfect. The cabin it's self was beautiful inside & out. Very clean. Very welcoming. And very stocked with everything you would need. The beds seem to be temperpedic & the reason I mention that is b/c two of the bedrooms the beds seem to be VERY firm. But your body conforms to the beds. The master bedroom bed wasn't as firm. I would suggest bringing house shoes (as I did for all family members so it wasn't an issue for us) b/c the floors are very cold esp in the bathrooms. The kitchen is well stocked - we cooked every night out of our 7 we were there except one night. It's a short drive to several different towns. We had lunch in Breck one day and supper in Buena Vista one night. The drives to both places was amazing. The views are to die for. The pictures of the mountain views from the home do not do justice. Actually none of the pics do justice to this home and it's views. Everything was 10 times better in person! The owner/s are very nice and work very well with you to accomadate you and welcome you. There was a ton of snow & for my family being from deep east Texas where it's normally hot at Christmas this was a big treat for us. We took a sled and a tube and the roads near the house which are walking distance has awesome hills for this. We had a blast sledding in the neighborhood. The houses/cabins aren't close together. Matter of fact it was 3 days there before we noticed we had a cabin next to us within walking distance. It's very wooded so you don't see many others. I would suggest strongly that if you go during this time that you have 4 wheel drive, snow tires, and/or chains for your tires as this is a good ways up into the mountain and the roads can be tricky. We will definitely be returning to this home. There is nothing bad that me or my family could say about this cabin. It was exactly what we expected and much more!
