February in Maui

We stayed in this condo during the summer of 2022 and wanted to come back during whale season. It did not disappoint! We spent many hours on the balcony watching the whales. What a treat.

A piece of paradise

This was our second stay and it could not have been better. The beach is in the backyard with warm and shallow water. Saturday night at the food trucks near Kalama village and south Maui gardens(hidden oasis of Kehei). Live music and good food. A pleasant surprise. Just a great place to stay.

Fantastic location

A perfect location to watch the sun set. Access to an excellent beach and close to anything or anyplace you want to go to. The best stocked kitchen on the island helps you enjoy cooking and grilling at “home”. We would return without hesitation

As Listed and Better

Everything was as described and Sam the owner shared valuable advice of many sorts. A short easy walking distance are a fun sports bar and lots of quite good restaurants. A pleasant 2 mile walk to the wonderful Charley Beach was perfect for getting out steps and playing in the waves daily. Renting a used car nearby was relatively inexpensive. But best of all were the views. The new screen for the lanai made it possible to enjoy the intense sunset. In sum: we will be back!

Great location, quiet area, beautiful sunsets and no nonsense

Perfect place in a great location of Kihei. Quiet beachfront property overlooking water and pool. Location is also right behind supermarket Times. Condo had beach chairs, coolers, beach games, beach towels and the kitchen had coffee maker, tea kettle, dishes, glasses, and most items if you prefer to cook. Didn't need to buy a thing. We were able to control the A/C where it was perfectly cozy for us. Thanks Sam! Definitely will stay in this condo and location again.

From the moment I reached out to the moment we arrived at the condo everything was just top notch. Communication was great, information given was plenty and the place and location was just perfect. I would move in right away if I could! We had a lovely stay and would highly recommend booking this place. Super clean, welcome gift was a sweet surprise!! Beachfront, serene

We had a wonderful stay at Sam and Armins beachfront condo. Easy checkin late at night with an access code given ahead of time. Parking is free right behind the complex. We could tell the hosts thought of everything, from a welcome package of coffee (much needed the next am as we got in late), cookies, and champagne —also Maps, recommendation book, a CD player with Hawaiian music, binoculars, and tv with good cable selection. The kitchen is very well equipped and large; fridge has water/ice machine; includes spices, tinfoil etc. Beach chairs, towels, umbrellas and an array of coolers (and ice packs) are provided but we rented snorkel and boogie boards. We enjoyed the beachfront lanai, and were spoiled with how serene and quiet it felt. The automatic sunshade was a nice touch. We booked another vrbo in west Maui and much prefer south Maui. The condo was walking distance to Times (grocery) and Some restaurants. The condo DOES have a/c, which for some reason I wasn’t expecting, we ended up closing the doors at night and using it as the bedroom tended to get hot without it. Great for couples as an escape! Mahalo for the positive experience!

Great place to stay

Simplicity with refinement

This condo property was the perfect getaway for the two of us to disconnect from the day-to-day world, relax and recharge. The location is surrounded by shops and restaurants, and close to Wailea if you want to experience more touristy excursions. We truly enjoyed sitting on the balcony and watching the sunset over Lanai’i and hearing the waves crash along the shore. The hosts were accessible and accommodating. We will certainly return…hopefully soon.

Wonderful 40th anniversary trip

Location, location, location. Being steps from the beach and being able to sit on the balcony and look out at the ocean was terrific. Almost every night we walked along the beach to see the many turtles that come on shore. The condo is also conveniently located very close to stores and restaurants. We really appreciated how well stocked the condo is and the owners even left a bottle of champagne. We have already reserved a return trip to this condo during whale season.

A little slice of paradise

This property had an absolutely breathtaking view right on the ocean! We sat on the balcony every night watching the sunset and that’s one of our favorite memories of Maui. Sam and Suzanne were great with communication and let us add on extra nights after we had already booked. The place was very well stocked with everything you could possibly need from cooking to a beach day. There is a coded lock on the door which makes it easy not having to remember the keys. The pool is very nice as well! We will definitely be returning to this condo when we return to Maui!

Our stay in July could not have been any better. The accommodations were as described and completely adequate. Without a doubt the sunsets were magnificent and having the beach in your backyard set it apart. We liked it so much that we intend to spend our 50th anniversary there next April.

An Amazing Vacation!

We had been looking forward to this vacation for months! Our expectations were exceeded. The condo was neat and clean. It had more amenities than we imagined. The views from the lanai were picture-perfect (proven by the dozens of pictures taken). Steps from a beautiful, and non-crowded beach. We were within walking distance of groceries and restaurants. Very close to the BEST shave ice at Ululani’s! We were a little nervous about the bed from past reviews, but it was so very comfortable. We can honestly say you will love staying at this condo on the beautiful island of Maui.

So pleasant!

This was our first time staying in Kihei as we normally stay farther north. It was a nice change with beauty and convenience all around. This pretty little place was perfect for our trip for just the two of us. We have never rented a place that was so well stocked. The view is spectacular. I guess if I had to find a negative I wished the air conditioner reached the bedroom better but the rest of the condo was comfortably cool. The beach is so close and the pool is conveniently located. It’s overall a quiet, peaceful place. We will cherish our memories in this condo.

Great location, authentic Maui living

Great location near many, many restaurants and a walk away from the grocery store. Loved enjoying sunsets on the lanai every evening after dinner. Will be returning in the future.

Nice place to stay

If you’re looking for a beach front property in Kihei this is a good choice, most condos in this area are across the street from the beach. Small, quiet, great views and location. Good place if you’re looking for a base to check out the rest of the island.

Our dream has always been to retire to Kihei, but we never thought it was possible. However, this past spring, all the stars aligned and our dream came true. A condo at Hale Kai O Kihei? A condo on the sand? Are you kidding me!?! We love it, and we know you’ll love it, too.

As two people who travel extensively, we know what we like and dislike about our accommodations. So, we’ve tried to incorporate every must-have amenity into our condo. Binoculars for whale watching. Beach chairs/towels/umbrellas/etc. A complete, high-end kitchen to cook and enjoy meals in. Big, full bars of soap in the bath. The list goes on and on. We’ve even provided Hawaiian cd’s for your listening enjoyment. (There’s nothing like sitting on the lanai at sunset, listening to the waves and music.)
