About Despina Nikolakis
We are a couple of professionals born in Greece and living in the UK. Christos was born and grew up in the island of Corfu and the property was their summer home where he used to spend the holidays since childhood. Despina is a native of Thessaloniki, in the north of Greece next to Halkidiki. This property was their summer holiday home for many years. Both properties are now managed together. Despina will answer enquiries, take bookings and answer any questions.
Despina Nikolakis purchased this Villa in 1970
Why Despina Nikolakis chose Esperii
The property was bought in the 70's and the house was built soon afterwards. What attracted Christos' parents to the area was its quiet and peacefulness which can be surprising for a such cosmopolitan island as Corfu.
What makes this Villa unique
The house is set in a beautifully maintained property with swimming pool, built-in barbecue, many trees and a nicely maintained garden. The property offers very comfortable living spaces, well equipped and nicely decorated and maintained. Linens and towels are provided and there is a cleaning service twice a week included in tHE PRICE. The location is ideal, very near the sea, (100m) and in a quiet area. Nevertheless, there are restaurants, supermarkets and several other activities in the nearby village of Sidari. Sidari is within a 20' walking distance.
100% refund if canceled at least 60 days before arrival date.
Beautiful secluded villa
Excellent from start to finish nicos the manager was very helpful and the villa and pool perfect
Thank you Mr Baily,
We are very glad to hear that.
Brilliant, secluded villa, but walking distance to amenities and beach
Excellent villa, well equipped. Lovely grounds and pool. Cleaners came every few days which was above expectations. Mosquitos were a problem but nothing anyone had control over. Overall a fabulous holiday would definitely recommend.
Thank you for your review. We are very pleased when our guests have a nice time in our villa.
We stayed at Villa Leda for two weeks in July 2017, and I would highly recommend it.
A very peaceful location but within 15-20 minute walk along the sea front to the busy town of Sidari. The Wave restaurant is close by and the food there was delicious. The manager of the Wave also manages the Villa Leda and is always on hand to answer any questions or give tips for days out.
The pool is beautiful and the large private garden has plenty of shade if needed.
The house was cleaned thoroughly every three days along with a change of bed linen and towels.
We had hired a car and I would advise doing this if you want to find quieter beaches away from Sidari. There is a lovely sandy beach about a ten minute drive away with Tavernas above the beach.
Excellent communication from the owner prior to our holiday was also very useful.
I would definitely stay here again.
Thank you Kevin for the review.
We are always very proud to have happy guests!!
A nice holiday and life long memories are priceless.
We will continue to keep our standards and improve in every area possible in order to offer the best services for our guests.
Not as it seems
As much as it,s a very nice villa in a lovely rural location the pictures advertised are not up to date.
Villa sleeps 10 people and has 4 shower rooms The bedrooms are ok but the beds are extremely hard The shower/toilets are very small. The dining atrea is spacious but the lounge only has enough room to seat 7 people. The kitchen area is very small and there is NO workspace to prepare food. The only cupboards in the kitchen are used for crockery and there is nowhere to store food. This is because half of the kitchen is taken up by a massive staircase to the two downstairs bedrooms. It may sleep10 but there is not enough space in the rest of the villa to accommodate that many.
The most disappointing thing about this villa for us was the garden. The picture you see advertised is nothing like it is now The garden is very overgrown and you can see very little of the villa from the same spot as the advertised picture. In the other reviews it states a 'well maintained' garden. This is not true. The pool ares is lovely but the pool is cleaned every couple of days if you are lucky. 6 of us were staying here and it should have been cleaned every day. When 3 days had passed, the pool was very cloudy with lots of leaves at the bottom and we had to go to the manager at 'Wave Bar' and ask them to send the pool man. He only does the water as well. We had to sweep around the pool each day to clear the leaves ( presumably the gardeners job who we never saw in the 2 weeks that we were there) The little shaded area by the pool is a lovely idea due to the long grass we found it a haven for mosquitos so we're unable to use it. It would have been lovely to have some umbrellas around the pool for shade. There are a lot of trees but again very long grass so more mosquitos. The maids did a wonderful job but we found it a bit strange that they came in the afternoon on the day before we left.
It's a real shame as with a lot more attention to detail this could be the perfect villa. It feels like they've sacrificed everything to squeeze 2 more bedrooms in. We've booked through owners direct before and got exactly what was advertised so we feel duped this time. We would not have booked this villa as it is now.
I am so sorry that the villa was not exactly what you had expected.
I will contact our manager on site in order to take action no the garden and the pool. Nevertheless, it is true that we do not provide a daily cleaning service. This is mentioned in Owners Direct. We will try to make some more space in the kitchen for food storage. Most of our guests are using the kitchen for breakfast or light meals. The fridge is big enough for storage of fresh food. We will add one shelf for food storage for future guests. I will personally make sure that these improvements happen. We had five stars comments from most of our guests this year and will do our best to continue improving.
We have just returned from a 2 week holiday at Villa Leda and we had a fabulous time. Although the villa is a 20 minute walk from the main Sidari strip it is located in a beautiful garden and the quieter location was perfect for my family. The villa is managed by the family that own the nearest restaurant called The Wave and this was a huge bonus. They were always easily accessible to answer any questions about the location and were prepared to help in any and every way.
All in all a very good villa with exceptional service and management.
Thank you for your good words!!
The house is a very nice property situated in a splendid garden. I would highly recommend.
I stayed in this property with my friends for summer vacation. THe description of the listing is accurate and true. The house is very comfortable situated in a very well cared garden. IT has nice terraces overseeing the garden and the sea. T
