Cottage in Campbeltown, Kintyre, Strathclyde, Scotland
About Gavin Ralston
My grandmother bought Barbreck Cottage in 1921, so it has been in the family almost a hundred years. I spent all my childhood holidays here. In 2003 I modernised and extended the property to make it a comfortable modern house.
Gavin Ralston purchased this Cottage in 1949

A favourite place to stay
A house that we are happy to .return to every year
Perfect setting with many memories of being brought up and playing on this loch side. House has everything one needs and is nice and spacious. Grand Children loved the shore and watching the boats and even dolphins from the windows.
This was our second stay at barbreck cottage and we had another great fortnight. Very comfortable and well-equipped house in a quiet location with fabulous views across the water yet close enough to town to walk there. We have bookedcagain for next year and can’t wait to return.

Very spacious clean and comfortable rooms. Lovely view to the sea 👌
We enjoyed our stay nice and warm throughout. Loads of easy walks in the area especially Davaar Island which you look out to from window. Very welcoming from the lady next door when collecting the key nothing was to much trouble. Sorry I deleted her name. Would definitely recommend this cottage. 😍😍😍
