Annexe de ferme idyllique située dans la belle campagne vallonnée du Lanarkshire du Sud. Meublée d'antiquités, de draps et d'articles de toilette de qualité, Ampherlaw Farmhouse vous permet de vous échapper de votre vie bien remplie. Vous vous sentirez tellement détendu que vous ne voudrez plus partir! Blottissez-vous près du poêle à bois dans des chaises au coin du feu et profitez de la vue, ou explorez Édimbourg, Glasgow et les frontières à proximité. Les chambres aux proportions généreuses comprennent une immense chambre, comprenant un poêle à bois et un coin salon avec des chaises au coin du feu; la grande salle de bain attenante a une baignoire, des plafonniers et des douches à main et est équipée de peignoirs et de serviettes blanches moelleuses. La salle à manger offre une vue sur la colline de Tinto (une belle journée) et est meublée d'antiquités. This is an unbelievable property. Absolutely first-class from start to finish in a beautiful location that is a great base for access to Glasgow and Edinburgh. Everything you need for a comfortable stay is in the cottage, all amenities are there. The hosts, Cass and Charlie, are just the best too. Can't recommend Ampherlaw Farmhouse enough.

Relaxing Luxurious Getaway disguised as a Rural Farmhouse

We lovd the beautiful countryside and the rural walks. Close to charming little towns and we also hiked the historic Clyde waterfalls. Our hosts were very lovely and accommodating, wish we could have gotten to know them more. Better than their humble photos portray.

Belated 25th Anniversary Trip Kickoff

Cass and Charlie’s stone cottage is a brilliant spot to day trip from that offers a quiet home nestled into incredible countryside.The cottage is roomy, beautifully appointed and amazing walks are right outside your door.Coffee in the morning in the courtyard and a stroll to say hello to the sheep, cows, horses, rabbits and pheasants were a smashing start to each day.We loved every minute with Cass and Charlie. A wonderful holiday

We had one of our most wonderful holidays in Scotland in this beautiful cottage. The check-in process was smooth, and the hosts gave us such a warm welcome – they are truly lovely people. Lovely, quiet place to relax

This is a very lovely little cottage. It is far enough away from town to feel peaceful, but close enough to make going into town easy. The folks in the nearest town of Carnwath were very pleasant and welcoming. The only issue we had was initially finding the right drive entrance, but that was more due to it already getting dark when we arrived. We highly recommend this place.

Perfect stay.

The cottage is of high standard, extremely clean and well equipped, good parking close to the cottage, very quiet, within 50 mins car trip to either Glasgow or Edinburgh. If you need a restful break this is the accommodation for you.

This farmhouse cottage is of high standard with excellent hosts, super clean, with a well equipped kitchen, comfortable bed, easy parking on site. The area is very quiet if you want to relax, walk, or go site seeing this is the place to stay, as well as your own outside seating area. Great wifi especially in such a rural area.

Incredible stay

The stay at Ampherlaw was just amazing. The farmhouse was spotlessly clean, had all amenities and heating. Every thought was given to our comfort and directions with check-in instructions were easy to follow. My partner and I would definitely stay again as the perfect retreat to the peaceful countryside.

Cass is from Edinburgh, and Charlie from Duns in the Scottish Borders. We live in Ampherlaw Farmhouse with our son, Lachlan and our horses, dogs, cat and chickens!

Voici pourquoi l’hôte a choisi cet hébergement

Before buying Ampherlaw Farmhouse in 2004 we lived just three miles away. We often rode past the house and fell in love with its crow stepped gables and beautiful stonework. Although it was in desperate need of attention, we saw the beauty that lay beneath. We were very lucky to be riding past one day as the For Sale sign was being erected. The rest is history!!

We spent the next six years restoring it to its former glory, and at the same time extended into two of the adjoining barns. It is these barns that form the cottage that we offer for self catering holidays.

Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique

Ampherlaw is a little hidden gem in south Lanarkshire. The beautiful views on a fine day make you think you're living in paradise. Although it has a lovely rural position, it is only a 35 minute drive to Edinburgh.

We love staying here as we have horses, dogs, cats and chickens and we love the freedom the place offers.
